London gets a cold reception from Donna.
Donna arrives to the shop after attending Kitty’s funeral. Everyone asks her for an update on Kitty. She tells everyone that Kitty is coping with her mother’s death the best way that she can. Not too long after this, Bae says that Puma hired Kitty’s replacement. Puma denies this and says that London is just the events coordinator. But he introduces her to Donna anyway. Donna gives her a cold handshake. Then Puma suggests that the gang has a team bonding session. No one is excited about this.
Cease goes to visit his baby momma Krystal. She’s still recovering from jaw surgery. Since she can’t talk at all, Cease decides to use this time to do all the venting he wants. He tells her that it’s been hard to watch their daughter by himself. After teasing a little bit, Cease says he respects how hard she works to be a mom and maintain a career. Krystal says she will get her mom to help out Cease and she will watch their daughter during the day.
Donna hasn’t been paying taxes.
Back at the shop, the gang discusses paying taxes. Donna didn’t know that she is supposed to file taxes every year. She hasn’t done so since 2014. This stuns everyone else. They tell her that the IRS is coming for her. In a green screen interview, Donna wonders how she was supposed to know that she is supposed to pay taxes every year. Krystal comes in the shop and says that Tati is locked up. A friend of Tati’s sister told Krystal that Tati was locked up on the previous night.
Donna and her twin sister Brittany go see a tax professional. She tells the man she hasn’t paid taxes in about 5 or 6 years. The man estimates that she probably owes about $100,000 in taxes. This news stresses Donna out. She says that she doesn’t have that kind of money. But the man says that if she doesn’t handle this, she could get locked up.
She later goes to the shop and tells the gang what she was told. Donna wants to think of ways to raise funds. But the gang isn’t too helpful with coming up with ideas. This annoys Donna and she’s really worried about what could happen.
Tati eventually makes her way back to the shop. She’s not receptive after Teddy jokes about her getting locked up. So he takes her to the back to talk. She breaks down in tears and he consoles her. Tati was charged for possession of drugs and she says it was a lot. In a green screen interview, she says she can’t say much. And she has to head to court soon. She doesn’t even know if she can afford a lawyer.
Krystal and Donna clash.
It’s the evening for the Team Bonding session. Everyone makes their way to the shop. Krystal worries that the older staff members aren’t being receptive to the new ones. And she feels like London will become a target. It’s a little awkward when Kitty returns and meets London. Puma says, “It’s somebody under you now.” Kitty is thrilled to have some help. Puma eventually reveals that the team bonding session is actually them being locked up in the shop together for a period of time. Bae ends up escaping by breaking into a window of the next-door neighbor’s apartment. The neighbor is startled but allows her to come through.
Donna gets irritated by London and says she’s talking too much. Puma tells Donna to be nice. But Donna doesn’t back down and isn’t feeling London. After London says Donna acts like they are in a sorority, Krystal gets mad. They start arguing and Krystal says she’s ready to throw hands They get in each other’s faces and a scuffle ensues. Security breaks them up and Krystal is escorted out. Donna says the new girls need to respect that it’s a pecking order. London wants nothing to do with the beef and Krystal comes back inside. She has words with Tati and those two nearly come to blows before security steps in. Donna wants round two, so security escorts Krystal back outside.
