It hasn’t been easy for Charmaine to impress Neek’s mom Chimene. In fact, she hasn’t succeeded yet. Chimene didn’t approve of Neek and Charmaine living together before they tied the knot. And now that they have tied the knot, Chimene doesn’t like that they didn’t have a traditional wedding. Instead, Charmaine and Neek eloped at the courthouse.
Now Chimene will not be impressed when Charmaine attempts to cook a Haitian meal. After working hard to make everything right, Chimene is critical of the food upon the first few bites. And to no surprise, this hurts Charmaine’s feelings.
