Mike is ready to propose.
Two days before Mike proposes to Cynthia, he takes his daughters and Noelle with him to the jewelry shop. They tell him they are happy for him and love his relationship with Cynthia. The engagement ring he chose is then boxed up.
Dennis comes by Porsha’s place with flowers. It’s his birthday and she got him a birthday cake. In a green screen interview, Porsha tells the producers that she has not given Dennis “the cookies.” She says she doesn’t want to rush into having s-x with him again.
Marlo denies being the snake.
One day before the proposal, Cynthia meets Marlo for a bite to eat. She wants to find out if Marlo is behind the audio. Before they discuss this, they briefly discuss Kenya’s actions at Marlo’s wig launch. Marlo feels like Kenya was rude, and Kenya “punks” Cynthia often. But Cynthia says that she’s not opposed to getting Kenya together when necessary. And they are like sisters.
The recording comes up and Marlo says she didn’t do it. And Cynthia has never even badmouthed NeNe to her before. In a green screen interview, Cynthia says she believes Marlo is telling the truth.
Kandi and Todd argue over business.
Todd and Kandi go to the venue that will become their new Mexican restaurant. Kandi is irritated because progress hasn’t been made in months. Todd feels like Kandi doesn’t have faith in him. At this point, Kandi points out that Todd actually has a lot of unfinished projects, including Old Lady Breakfast. In a green screen interview, Kandi says it seems like Todd is always trying to prove to the world that he doesn’t need her money.
It will cost about $360,000 in renovations to get all the projects up and running. Kandi says they should slow down because a recession may be around the corner.
They also have some tension because it just seems like all Todd wants to do is work. But Todd promises he will do better and take her out on a date soon.
Kenya frustrates Kandi.
It’s the day of Cynthia’s wine cellar launch. While Cynthia is having small talk with Porsha, Mike tells Kandi to stick around.
When Marlo arrives, she hands Cynthia a gift and an emotional letter from NeNe. Cynthia reads it and gets teary-eyed. Although Kandi gets emotional, Porsha is not impressed.
When Kenya arrives, she tells Cynthia that she thinks Mike is going to propose.
Not too long after, Kandi and Kenya go the side and Kandi calls Kenya out for telling Cynthia Mike is going to propose. Apparently, Kandi told Kenya via text that Mike told her to stick around, which Kandi took as a sign that he’s proposing later on. Kenya apologizes but Kandi has to walk away to calm herself down.
She vents to Todd about what just happened.
Later on, Mike pops the question. Cynthia gets emotional and says yes. Everyone is excited for the couple.
Marc and Kenya have more tension.
Marc, Kenya, Kandi, Todd, Mike, and Cynthia all go out on a triple date. While talking about proposals, Marc says he didn’t technically ask Kenya to marry him and he didn’t get on bended knee.
Kenya says it was the second-best day of her life. Winning Miss USA tops it.
Prenups are discussed. Kenya and Marc argue over who didn’t want one. Marc then says that talking about a prenup means a marriage is over. He says either someone is with him or they aren’t.
They start arguing about businesses, and Marc says he helped her build her hair care business because it was a mess.
In a green screen interview, Kenya says Marc likes to play dirty. She gets irritated when Marc calls her flashy for wanting a Bentley
Kenya doesn’t see the big deal because her house is paid off.
NeNe is brought up.
Somehow NeNe is brought up and Marc says that he has no problems with NeNe because she’s always been nice to him. This really doesn’t sit well with Kenya because she doesn’t feel like they are being a team.
