Q and Tasha have another steamy moment.

Tasha goes by Q’s place at night. He’s in the middle of putting his daughter to bed when he answers the door. Q can see Tasha has something on her mind and it has to be Ghost. But Tasha says Ghost isn’t someone they have to talk about because he’s probably going to get arrested soon anyway. So Q is the only man she wants to think about. They sleep together while his daughter is sleeping.

Tasha gets a text from Tariq asking where she is. So she decides to quietly leave Q’s place after she stares at a gun on his dresser.

Tasha and Tariq worry about Ghost.

When Tasha gets back to her place, Tariq questions where Tasha has been. She admits she was with Q. Tariq isn’t happy that he’s never met Q. They discuss Ghost and Tasha says that she’s going to handle Ghost without killing him.

She reveals that she told the police that Ghost killed Silver and where the body is. So she’s convinced that he’s going to jail for a long time.

Tariq isn’t happy that Tasha “snitched” but Tasha says that Ghost taught her that sometimes snitching is something you have to do.

The next morning Tariq wakes Tasha up to tell her that her plan didn’t work. It’s been revealed that Ghost is running as Lieutenant Governor. So it’s unlikely he will be arrested. This puts them all at risk if a background check is done on Ghost.

Tasha calls Saxe to see if Silver’s body was discovered. Saxe says the corpse was found but Tasha worries Ghost will get away with murder.

Tommy gets an update from Tariq.

Later on, Tariq meets with Elisa Marie and her aunt. After Tariq listens to the audio, he says he doesn’t know who Tommy and Ghost are. It’s clear that Elisa Marie’s aunt isn’t buying this.

Tariq later gives Tommy an update about the audio. He asks Tommy not to hurt Elisa Marie but Tommy refuses to make any promises. He then gets a text from Tasha saying Dre wants his money. When Tariq meets with Dre, he demands that Tariq takes him to Ghost. This is the only way he will give Tariq a gun.

Ghost leaves Tasha speechless.

When Tasha arrives at Raina’s gravesite, she’s shocked to see Ghost there. He asks what she’s doing there and she tells him that she comes by every week. He apologizes for getting violent with Tasha but he blames her for why Tariq has been acting out. Tasha isn’t accepting this blame and says that Ghost’s political ambitions put them all at risk.

Ghost says that he’s not worried about them because he’s completely legit. He also plans to take the kids away from Tasha because she’s selling drugs. She’s a bad influence in his opinion and he believes Ramona will be a better role model. Ghost then tells her he’s ending the marriage, and she can freely be Tasha Green now, the “half-smart chicken head” who would still be in the hood if it wasn’t for him.

All of this stuns Tasha. But Ghost regrets nothing he said and walks away.

Tommy puts two and two together.

When Tasha is back at home, she gets a visit from Tommy. While she’s worried about Ghost’s political ambitions putting them all under a microscope, Tommy doesn’t seem to care. Since Tasha’s earring was found at Keisha’s crime scene, he’s figured out that Tasha pulled the trigger. So he pulls his gun out on her.

Tasha begs Tommy to look at Keisha’s paperwork to see that she was getting ready to flip. Tommy doesn’t believe that Keisha was getting ready to snitch to the Feds and run off with her son. He nearly kills Tasha. But he changes his mind after Tasha begs him to look after her kids once she’s dead.

While he cares about the kids, he’s done with Tasha.

Tasha cries as Tommy leaves.

Dre and Ghost meet again.

Tariq goes to see Ghost at Truth. While Ghost apologizes for losing his temper with Tasha, Tariq reminds Ghost that he told him never to hit women after he hit Raina once. But he’s not there to talk and brings out Dre instead.

Tariq leaves the two men alone to talk. Ghost isn’t happy to see Dre but Tariq has bigger problems to worry about. Radnor texts him that there’s trouble on campus for their drug operation. So Tariq leaves behind the gun Dre gave him at the club.

When Tariq gets to campus, he sees Radnor being arrested.

Tate stirs up Tasha.

Tasha goes to Saxe’s place and sees Tameika there. They need more information to lock Ghost up for Silver’s murder. Now that Keisha is dead and unable to give an alibi for Ray Ray’s murder, Tasha will need help from Tate.

She goes to Tate’s office to see what Ghost told him about Tasha and Silver. Tate says that Ghost told him that Tasha and Silver were sleeping together. Tasha doesn’t believe Ghost said any of this. But Tate says he did and cops told him that Tariq’s DNA was found at Ray Ray’s home. And Ghost wants to distance himself from Tariq for political ambitions so his image won’t take a hit. So he will turn Tariq in. Tate tells Tasha she has to do whatever necessary to save Tariq.

Ghost changes his mind.

Tasha goes back to the penthouse to collect things that were left behind before the new owners move in. It’s an emotional moment for Tasha as she thinks back to earlier times. Not too long after, Ghost gets there. He says that he has no plans to turn Tariq in but Tariq should confess and face the consequences of his actions.

Tasha reminds Ghost that he said that he would take the blame for Ray Ray’s murder. But Ghost doesn’t want to do this anymore. He says he was already locked up for something he didn’t do. So he won’t do that again. Besides, he’ll have way more power once he’s Lieutenant Governor. So he will be able to help Tariq and Tasha, especially if Tasha gets locked up for killing Keisha.

At this moment, Tasha acts like she didn’t kill Keisha and Ghost says he knows she did. When Tasha calls Ghost a monster, he says he’s not the one who killed a single mother. Tasha did and she didn’t even think about what would happen to Keisha’s son.

Ghost says he loved Tasha and a part of him still does. But Tasha never learned to love the man he is now. Regardless, Tasha says that Ghost should do whatever it takes to protect Tariq. Ghost says that’s the problem. Tariq is always being protected. So he wants to meet with Tariq at his place and discuss the new plan.

Ghost doesn’t back down.

Tariq and Tasha update each other. Of course, Tariq is not happy that Ghost wants him to turn himself in. He also tells Tasha that Dre gave him a gun and he left it at Truth. Tasha tells Tariq to get the gun back before Ghost finds it. And neither of them believes Ghost will actually help Tariq if he turns himself in.

When Tariq sees Ghost, Ghost says that Tariq got Raina killed and he should turn himself in since they’ve done everything they can to protect him. Tariq says he will confess to killing Ray Ray if Ghost will confess one thing he did to him.

Ghost confesses killing Breeze and said he gave him one more chance to change his mind after Breeze got in the way of his aspirations. He jacks Tariq up by his collar and tells Tariq not to force his hand.

Tasha has a new plan.

Tariq later tells Tasha about the tense conversation and he’s convinced that Ghost would actually kill him if he needed to. Now that Ghost won’t be investigated for Silver’s death, both Tariq and Tasha feel like Ghost is dangerous and needs to be stopped. So Tasha tells Tariq that she will kill him at Truth but she needs for Tariq to get to the club first and wait for her.

She’s going to pull the trigger after Ghost gets in his car to head home after his party. Tariq agrees to the plan but he doesn’t want Tasha to go to jail. She says she won’t if they stick to their plan.

Tasha tells Q that she needs him to take her to Truth so she can get Ghost to sign the divorce papers. She will go in by herself and she just wants him to wait for her in the car just in case there’s any drama. He agrees to do this for her.

As he’s FaceTiming his daughter, Tasha puts Q’s gun in her purse.

The plan is set in motion.

While Tariq is at Ghost’s party, he asks Ghost once more if he really wants Tariq to turn himself in. Ghost says yes and he will be with Tariq every step of the way.

Later that night, Tommy asks Tariq to help him stop Dre from killing Ghost. But Tariq refuses. He then calls Vincent telling him where he can find Tommy.

Back at Truth, Ghost is starting to shut the club down for the night. He starts turning off all the lights. Tariq has made it back inside. And Tasha is on her way with Q.

Tariq gets his gun and Tasha gets in the backseat of Ghost’s car with her gun out. For a brief moment, she sees her former and deceased flame, Shawn, looking back at her in the rearview mirror.

Kanan changes things.

Tariq sees Kanan’s ghost who tells him that he has to be the one to kill Ghost. It can’t be Tasha. And that’s the only way to protect Tasha. Also, Ghost won’t see Tariq coming.

Tasha is still sitting in Ghost’s car waiting to hear back from Tariq. She then realizes that Tariq is inside the club with a gun and he’s going to kill Ghost himself. She then runs out of the car to stop him.

Tariq kills Ghost.

But Tariq finds Ghost first. Ghost is surprised to see him and they talk about their previous conversation. Tariq tells Ghost that he’s lied to him so many times. And Kanan actually loved him. Ghost tells Tariq that he’s wrong. And they can work out their issues.

Tariq isn’t hearing this and takes out his gun. He says he knows Ghost will turn him and Tasha in for Ray Ray and Keisha’s murders. Ghost blames Tasha and says she’s manipulated Tariq.

But Tariq says he’s making his own choices. And Ghost is in the way of his future. And he wishes they can go back to how things were before Ghost left them for Angela. Ghost says he loves Tariq and to give up the gun.

But Tariq shoots him in the chest as Tasha runs in to stop him.

Ghost falls off the balcony and Tasha begs Tariq to give her the gun. Tariq says Dre gave him the gun so they can frame him. So Tasha makes her exit.

When Tariq looks down at Ghost on the ground, Tommy is there consoling him. He then aims his gun at Tariq but Ghost stops him from shooting.

Saxe is spotted.

Tariq freaks out and runs off in shock at what just occurred. As he begins to snap back into reality, he finds his book bag and tries to leave the club. Before doing so, he sees Saxe around the corner with a gun.

When Tasha gets back to Q’s car, he asks her what happened. He heard a gunshot. Tasha says she got inside and Ghost was already dead. So they speed off.

Tariq makes it outside the club and he pretends he doesn’t understand what’s going on as the police are at the scene. He screams that he needs to see his dad as the police console him.

When Tariq gets back to Tasha’s place that night, he tells her he already got rid of his clothes. She tells him that she got rid of the gun.

Saxe is brought back in as Warner is fired and faces jail time for trying to get Mak to fabricate evidence.

Tariq and Tasha are shocked by Ghost’s final requests.

Ghost’s estate attorney runs down what Ghost left behind for Tariq, Tasha, Yaz, and Tasha’s mother. Tasha’s mother is upset after she finds out that Ghost only left behind a small gift to pay her rent for one year.

The bulk of the estate was divided into thirds: Yaz, Tariq, and Raina. Raina’s share defaults to Tariq. He gets the property, the shares in the nightclubs, including Truth. He also gets the watch collection. Tasha gets nothing.

She has no access to the life insurance plan, stocks, or bonds. All of that goes to the kids. After this is said, Tariq tells Tasha not to worry about it. He will take care of her.

But the lawyer tells Tariq that he won’t inherit right away. Everything is placed in a trust and he doesn’t get anything until he completes a degree from a four-year university with at least a 3.5 GPA. He doesn’t get a cent before.

After they all leave, Blanca tells them police have questions they need to be answered about Ghost’s murder.

Tariq handles Saxe.

Both Tasha and Tariq say that Dre is the person they think killed Ghost. Saxe says he doesn’t believe this because it’s too much of a risk. Blanca says that Dre doesn’t have a motive. But Tasha had a motive because Ghost’s political career would have caused more eyeballs on all of his family and associates. Something Tasha doesn’t want.

Blanca applies more pressure and says that Dre said Tariq killed Ray Ray. But Tasha says that Dre is lying. But Blanca is convinced that Tariq or Tasha killed Ghost.

When Tariq is left alone with Saxe, he tells Saxe he saw him at Truth with a gun the night of Ghost’s murder. And he will say that he saw Saxe there if Saxe won’t accept that Dre killed Ghost. Saxe reluctantly agrees to this.

Blanca later finds out that Dre was murdered in prison. So she talks to 2-Bit about what happened since Spanky is dead as well. 2-Bit says he has no idea who Ghost is. Although Blanca knows about the burner phone 2-Bit used and the likelihood that he killed Dre, he remains unmoved. He says it’s stupid that Blanca thinks Dre could even kill someone like Ghost.

Q is arrested.

Tasha has dinner with Stern. He tells her that Dre was killed in prison.

They talk about the future of Truth. Tasha offers it up to Stern if Stern can get Tariq into Stern’s Alma Mater. She needs Tariq to start there the next day. Stern agrees and offers Tasha a job at his company. She accepts.

When Tasha gets home, she tells Tariq he’s been accepted to Stern’s school. And Tariq says that he convinced Saxe that Dre killed Saxe.

After Tariq walks back to his room, Tasha calls the cops and says she knows who killed Ghost. While she’s sleeping with Q the cops arrive at his place to arrest him. He denies killing Ghost and asks Tasha to be his alibi. But she says nothing as the cops take him away.

Tasha takes the fall.

The next morning, Blanca and the police come by to arrest Tasha. Blanca says she knows Q didn’t kill Ghost because he went to a diner at the time of Ghost’s death. And he’s on all the cameras at the diner. He thought he made have needed an alibi just in case. Plus, Q told them everything. And they know he’s the one who took Tasha to Truth before the shooting.

As they place handcuffs on Tasha, Tariq tries to confess but she tells him to just go to school.

While Tasha gets settled into prison, Tariq gets settled into school.

After the title credits, there is a flashback of Tommy, Ghost, and Angela while they are in high school. Angela tells Ghost about Choate and all it has to offer.
