The shop is struggling.
Four weeks after the prom fiasco, the gang is still having too much fun at the shop. They hula hoop while Puma hands over the shop’s financial statements to Ceaser. And things don’t look good.
Puma decided to bring Sassy back to the shop to help them sort things out. But it’s confirmed that the shop isn’t making enough money.
Sassy asks all the artists if they have any clients coming in. A couple of them have clients. Bae is one of them. In a green screen interview, she confirms that she’s now divorced from Rob.
Miss Kitty has a lot to say.
Tati can’t focus on what Sassy is saying because she’s too busy reading what Kitty is writing about them on social media. Apparently, she’s been throwing a lot of jabs since the prom drama. In a green screen interview, Tati says Kitty isn’t the person she thought she was. And she’s fake and unloyal. When Tati tells the others about what Kitty has been saying, Ceaser overhears and says he doesn’t want Kitty discussed in the shop.
So he grabs Tati’s phone and throws it in the trash. Tati gets upset and says she’s telling Sky, who still happens to be head of HR. Apparently, Sky is currently on a vacation.
Cease’s painting goes missing.
After Cease returns to 113 from visiting the Brooklyn shop, he discovers that the painting of himself is missing. Someone wrote a ransom letter saying they will contact Cease soon about the picture.
Teddy laughs and Cease assumes he’s the one who stole it. But Teddy says he has no idea who’s behind this. Not too long after, Sassy walks into the shop. She denies taking the painting.
As they discuss the painting, it’s clear that there are multiple suspects since he’s pissed off a lot of people lately.
Des and Cease are worried about Sky.
Sky’s son Des comes to the shop while Cease is preparing to close it down for the night. In a green screen interview, Cease says he hasn’t been able to get in contact with Sky for weeks. And he’s worried about her. But he didn’t want to tell the others so he just said she was on a vacation.
Des has his own concerns. He doesn’t know what to do with his life at this point. But he needs to make things right with Sky first. And he’s hoping Cease can help him.
Sky is not picking up the phone for either of them. Cease really feels like something serious is going on. He tells Des that Sky’s mom used to disappear like this when she gets off her bipolar meds. So Cease wonders if Sky could be going through the same thing.
Cease gets some backup.
The next day Cease calls a staff meeting. He’s ready to crack down on whoever stole his painting. So Cease has a lie detector test administrator named Judd come in to get the truth. This annoys the others, and most of them walk out, refusing to take the test.
Staff changes are made.
Sassy and Puma create a chart to question Cease about his decisions as far as giving out so many titles. They also discuss the talent of the artists. Bae is great but she’s a little crazy to them. Alex can help Donna become better. They like Rok and Krsytal. But they think Mike could be a weak link. So some decisions will have to be made.
So they call in the rest of the staff for a meeting. Cease promotes Bae to the lead artist. Walt is made the new manager. He also gets an apology for being looked over for so many years.
When it comes to London as the Event Coordinator, Cease says he hasn’t seen many events happen. So he fires her.
Mike is also fired for not bringing in enough money and partying too much.
Demotions are handed out.
Tati is demoted from VP of Operations to the Receptionist. She isn’t happy about this either. Tati now has to report to Walt. In a green screen interview, Tati says she’s overqualified and the shop doesn’t even need a receptionist.
Ceaser also demotes Teddy from the President. He doesn’t think Teddy does enough at the shop for that role.
Donna suggests that she gets a raise because she told Cease to promote Walt a long time ago. She wants to be the manager at the Brooklyn shop. But Cease demotes Donna to Bae’s apprentice. He doesn’t like the fact that Donna misspelled a client’s tattoo recently.
This makes Donna angry and she starts arguing with Cease. She refuses to be anyone’s apprentice. So she storms out the shop and the meeting concludes.
Things went really bad between Sky and Des.
Des recaps to Cease after he sees Sky. The meeting didn’t go well. He says that he found out Sky is still in New York and she’s only been talking to his grandmother.
When he saw Sky, he apologized for everything that led to their fallout.
Sky says some girl sent her a DM and said Des got her pregnant. But Des doesn’t want to talk about this and Sky accuses Des of only coming to see her to ask for money after he stole from her.
They start arguing and have to be restrained by security. Sky even tells him she wishes she aborted him and his dad doesn’t even love him.
This really hurt Des’ feelings and Cease is so hurt to hear this happened. He wishes he could have been there to keep things from escalating.
Des now has second thoughts.
Des says he didn’t ask to be born. He never meant to hurt Sky and he doesn’t understand why she hurt him. When he breaks down in tears, Cease consoles him.
In a green screen interview, Des says he feels like he was gullible. He was wishing for love from Sky and it’s his fault for even wanting that.
Cease says that Sky and Des need to go their separate ways. And time can mend their relationship eventually. But they need to work on themselves individually in the meantime.
A producer updates Cease.
Donna returns to the shop despite the demotion. Before Cease can enter the shop, one of the producers gives him an update on Sky.
Cease walks into the shop and says there has been an incident with Sky. And people were hurt.
