“Black Ink Crew Chicago” star Charmaine is no stranger to controversy. She’s had plenty on the show thanks to her feuds and unfiltered personality. But these are just a couple of the reasons why Charmaine is loved, as well as criticized. And she received a lot of criticism recently after she posted a TikTok video with her daughter Nola.
The video was Charmaine’s attempt at a challenge. In the challenge, parents splash their unsuspecting children with water from a water bottle. And the reactions are recorded. While the challenge was meant to be a funny one, many weren’t laughing at Charmaine’s video.
Critics of the video didn’t like Nola’s reaction. They claimed she looked terrified and agitated. Others said Charmaine could have actually hurt the baby if the water got up Nola’s nose. So they called Charmaine out in the comments left and right. Some even came for Charmaine’s abilities as a mother.
At first, Charmaine thought the backlash was just nonsense. And she told people that they were overreacting seeing as Nola was not harmed during the challenge. But then the backlash only got worse, and Charmaine decided it would be best to take down the video and issue an apology to those who were offended and concerned for Nola.
Well, Charmaine recently gave another update on the TikTok drama. She revealed that her dad was so mad that he hasn’t talked to her since he found out about the video.
