OWN Responds to Criticism of ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’

Even the mothers are involved in the LAMH drama.

It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the fans of LAMH. Although the show started off showing the business relationships of three black couples, it’s become full of drama. At this point, Melody and Martell Holt are in the middle of a divorce.

Melody quietly filed weeks ago. And Martell recently expressed that he thinks they could have stayed together if Melody would have been okay with them having an open marriage.

But when they aren’t fighting with each other, they are clashing with Marsau and LaTisha Scott. The former friends haven’t been good since Marsau cracked jokes about Martell’s three-year affair. Now Melody and LaTisha’s mothers are coming for each other on social media.

This probably isn’t surprising since Ms. Wanda may have started the social media beef after she dragged Martell in a video that was posted to Facebook.

OWN responds to criticism of the show.

At this point, some fans of the show feel it has gotten too negative. And they have been very vocal about this.

In fact, recently, a viewer expressed their disappointment on one of OWN’s social media pages. They said that they don’t understand the point of the show anymore. And they also said that they believe LAMH is discouraging people from getting married.

Someone from the network responded to the comment and said, “It shows the good time, but also the bad. Sometimes love & marriage does indeed come with bad times.”

DOESNT MATTER THAT YOU INVITED HER INTO YOURS SO WHAT !!!!SHE DONT HAVE TO INVITE YOU INTO HERS GET SOME COMMON SENSE YOUR MAMA DIDNT TEACH YOU THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE AND USE YOUR D-MN COMMON SENSE!

  2. WE ALL KNOW REALITY SCRIPTED SHOWS ARE ALL PRESENTED FOR SHOCK RATINGS NONE OR HALF THIS CRAP IS TRUE ITS ALL FOR RATINGS BECAUSE ALL OF YOU LIE NONE OF YOU ARE EXEMPT FROM THE BULLSH-T BECAUSE YOU ALL BRING THE BULLSH-T . THAT VIEWERS ME INCLUDED TUNE IN TO WATCH !

  3. Carlos , I would like to thank you for your assessment of Martell and Melody. If you continue to counsel them their marriage may be restored. I am praying for Kimmi. She is a great woman. All of the women need to stop showing all of their breast as they do. The men should stop allowing their breast to be shown. Destiny is a narcisistic . woman who wants to be the queen. She will never maintain a good relationship with any man .Keisha has alot to be desired.
Melody and Kimmi are the best of the women,
Wanda need to repent and be baptize. God bless you Carlos. You are a good man.

  4. I wish the show would showcase the business aspects of the couples and their success in business.
It is now all about drama. In real live would someone really but that much energy and drama in a friendship that is always about drama. It exploits the kids and also dramatizes what some people think of Black people.
Always screaming and fighting. The cast members talk over each other on a regular basis.

  5. I think Tiffany is the only one that keeps it real with Keke. Everyone else gives her a pass. Keke is embarrassing to black people. She needs help for her addiction and should not be on this show. OWN is exploiting her for ratings instead of helping her get treatment for her drug problems. Her erratic behavior on the show is evident of her addiction. Shame on black people that prop her up on this show.
