The truth was revealed.
Fans of “Greenleaf” are still emotional about the latest episode. In a very important scene of the show, Bishop James Greenleaf opened up about what really happened the day Rochelle Cross’ father, Daryl James, was killed in a fire. He also expressed why he feels he failed the church.
While Bishop didn’t kill anyone, he did admit that it was Mac McCready who told him to go to Daryl’s mother Mrs. Davis, and convince her to put him in his will. Mac lied and told Bishop that Mrs. Davis didn’t have any kids.
Mrs. David put Bishop in her will and gave him her house when it was originally supposed to go to Daryl.
But getting the house is what made Bishop’s dream of starting a church possible since it placed him in the position to get the loan he needed. However, he didn’t find out the truth about Mac’s doings as well as Daryl being Mrs. Davis’ son until well after the fact.
Bishop gave a powerful speech.
Bishop came clean about all of this to the church while standing on the stage. He was emotional and very remorseful. He even apologized because he feels it’s his fault that the Calvary ended up in Bob Whitmore’s possession. However, Calvary’s loyal members weren’t hearing this. And they told Bishop that he didn’t fail them at all. He taught them important lessons and they are standing by him and the Greenleafs every step of the way.

By the end of the episode, Bishop appeared to have a stroke before he could verbally accept Mae’s marriage proposal. It appeared as if he may have died. However, actor Keith David had something to say about this on Twitter.
It started off after he told fans that the next episode, the series finale, would be incredible.
He wrote, “Needless to say, next week is going to be another incredible episode, saints!”
A Twitter user was not feeling this. They asked Keith how the episode would be great if he’s been killed off the show. In response, he wrote, “I said incredible, not great. And nobody knows my fate at this point.”
