Sky really wanted to reach out to her sons.
“Black Ink Crew” star Sky has been very open about her journey into locating her sons. Seasons ago, she told the rest of the cast about how painful it was to give them up for adoption while they were small. And she had been very hesitant about contacting them. This is due to the fact that she wasn’t sure how they would respond. Sky feared that they would be angry with her. She also feared that they would decide that they didn’t actually want a relationship with her after so many years.
However, she eventually pushed past her fears.
And while her youngest son Des was receptive from the beginning, her oldest son Genesis was not. He had a lot of anger for Sky and it couldn’t be contained when they sat down to talk.
Genesis felt abandoned.
While Sky tried to explain why she felt adoption was best, Genesis still felt very abandoned by Sky. So he went off on her and had to be restrained by the show’s security team.
Genesis would later explain his anger during a conversation with Ceaser. He said, “For 15 years you can’t talk to me? I don’t forget that day when she walked off and ain’t looked back. You understand? She raised me for six years and then she gave me up and walked out on me. I’ll never forget that sh*t.”
He added, “I wanted my momma when I ain’t have my momma. But I ain’t get that sh*t. I wanted a f*cking phone call, sh*t.”
Eventually, Genesis and Sky would hash things out and form a relationship. But it didn’t last. However, he gave fans a happy update recently.
