Mariah’s time on the show may be over.
“Married to Medicine” creator Mariah Huq is not returning for the upcoming season. And she made some interesting accusations about the production company, “Purveyors of Pop.” In fact, she claimed they didn’t want her to wear a hijab while filming her green screen interviews. She also alleged that she has nothing to do with the spinoffs, even though this was something that was stipulated to be the case in her contract. Mariah also believed that the drug accusations made by Quad Webb may have been used to push her off the show. So she was ready to file a lawsuit.
Another thing that bothered Mariah is the other women on the show didn’t have her back. In fact, they seemingly sided with the producers.
So she just feels like she was treated unfairly.
Buffie spills some tea.
Interestingly enough, Buffie Purselle had some interesting things to say about her time on the show. During an interview with the Storm Monroe Show, Buffie revealed that Mariah was hesitant to become friends with Buffie because she didn’t want her to be mistreated as well.
Buffie said, “She stayed away from me, was very standoffish with me for the majority of the season. I could not understand why because we have the most in common. We’re both successful women independent of our physician husbands in business, interracial marriage, so on and so forth, and she later told me the reason was, ‘I knew we would have a connection. And the minute we became friends you would be treated like me.’ And that is exactly what happened.”
