Shaunie O’Neal received backlash for the recent season of “Basketball Wives.”
There has been a lot of controversy after the latest season of “Basketball Wives.” In fact, OG wasn’t the only one who believed she was the victim of colorism. In fact, a lot of viewers agreed with her. So they took to social media to call out Shaunie O’Neal and the rest of the producers of the show. Shaunie responded and said she didn’t think the issue was colorism. And the issue may have just been some of the other women were struggling to mesh with OG’s personality. So there was always tension.
Regardless, OG being accused of being violent only made viewers bring up Evelyn Lozada’s violent past. So a lot of people took issue with OG having to film the reunion from another room. And they weren’t going to be okay if OG was pushed off the show.
Interestingly enough, it’s been rumored that OG has been filming for season 9. And after Evelyn said she wasn’t sure if she would return, she is back as well.
In addition to OG and Evelyn’s feud, Evelyn also had a nasty fallout with Jennifer Williams.
Two cast members may not want to film with each other.
Now an interesting report has come out about the upcoming season.
According to blogger The Basketball Wives Tea, amid the pandemic, the cast is having to stay in a production bubble. So the women are staying in two different houses. And two of the ladies are refusing to film with each other. While it hasn’t been revealed which two cast members have made the demands, this news isn’t surprising considering how explosive season 8 was.
