Some “Real Housewives of Potomac” viewers aren’t happy with how Monique Samuels has been treated.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” is in the middle of a very controversial season. Last year, Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard got into an altercation while filming. Since then, the fallout has been playing out on the show. In fact, the cast appears to be divided on the issue. Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo have refused to film with Monique. And it was rumored that this was a way to push Monique off the show.
Gizelle even said that she couldn’t be around Monique anymore because it would be harmful to her image. She also wanted to protect Jamal Bryant’s image as well. As a result of this statement, Gizelle was accused of hypocrisy on social media.
Wendy has also received some backlash. During a recent interview, she even said she was surprised to see Monique get so much support on social media after the altercation. And she realized that there are different perspectives on the situation. Wendy also denied taking the position she did to get in good with Robyn and Gizelle.
Robyn Dixon has responded to the accusations of hypocrisy.
As for Robyn, she’s also been accused of being hypocritical. In fact, she was called out for not acknowledging her own past acts of aggression on the show. In a past scene, she and Gizelle went up to Oz to confront Ashley Darby. It got heated, with Robyn even putting her fingers in Ashley’s face.
Robyn and the others were also called out for icing out Monique when Candiace threw a butter knife at Ashley on the previous season. Since she wasn’t iced out for this, people felt like Monique was being treated unfairly in comparison.
In an interview, Robyn addressed why Candiace’s knife-throwing incident wasn’t acknowledged by her and the others after the altercation. Her response to this was that she and the others like to move on from things that occurred in past seasons.
Regardless, some viewers are still feeling like Monique isn’t getting fair treatment. And they continue to be vocal on social media.
Interestingly enough, some of Robyn’s critics are taking things even further.
Hours ago, Robyn shared a screenshot of an Instagram user telling her that they hope she dies in a fire. In the caption, she wrote, “People can be so disgusting, all because of a TV show.”
Robyn had more to say in the comments. In fact, she told another Instagram user that she’s been getting similar comments since the altercation aired on the show.
She wrote, “I’ve been dealing with horrible messages like this since the fight aired. People shifting blame to others and mad because I disapproved.”
Robyn not only received support from her followers, but Gizelle and Candiace wrote supportive comments as well.
