People are still talking about the recent season of RHOP.

Real Housewives of Potomac” fans had a lot to say about the recent season. Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s altercation was the hottest topic. However, people also had a lot to say about what happened at the reunion between Monique and Gizelle Bryant.

Monique and Gizelle clashed during their first meeting. After Monique said she and Chris Samuels were looking for a house in Potomac, Gizelle then asked if they didn’t have a home. In response to this, Monique said that they had four homes. Gizelle took this as Monique being a braggart. And later on, she told Monique she was only on the show because of Chris’ money.

From that point, they continued to have tension. But during the recent season, it seemed as if they were trying to mend things up until the altercation took place. At that point, Gizelle refused to be around Monique. She also said that avoiding Monique was crucial in protecting her image, as well as Jamal Bryant’s.

Monique got even at the reunion by pulling out receipts she had in a binder. And she accused Gizelle and Jamal of faking their reconciliation for television. The moment went viral on social media, and some fans were anticipating seeing where things would go on the upcoming season.

However, Monique decided to quit the show. Recently, Gizelle shared her thoughts about Monique’s departure.

I would have preferred they all came back next season and finally sat and talked everything out. It was wrong to ice Monique out. I wanted a real resolution and I wanted to see these grown women move past the fight. Even Porsha and Kenya were able to move past their altercation and RHOA was stronger after. The same should have happened for RHOP but people were too stubborn for that.

RHOA stronger? You’re delusional sister what’s changed, no physical fighting. Kenya is worse than ever, even as a mother.

Queen isn’t delusional, she’s objective and observant, something you Kenya haters aren’t capable of. When Porsha and Kenya had that altercation, everyone was able to move past it and the show became even more successful. Kenya and Porsha even tried to be friends. They didn’t make the fight a storyline to stay stuck on like RHOP did.

RHOA knows how to move on better than RHOP does.

Your dislike of Kenya is irrelevant to the discussion and it’s keeping you from being sensible. Nothing I said was delusional. RHOA was indeed stronger after the altercation because they didn’t ice Porsha out of the show or make a big deal out of the situation to the point that it was everyone’s storyline. RHOP could learn a thing or two because their decision to focus on the fight as much as they did hurt the show.

These women are such drama queens. The way they handled that fight made me appreciate RHOA so much more. Hair was pulled and we had to hear about it all season long and watch people virtue signaling left and right. The respectability politics were nauseating as well.

Monique should not have quit. She got in her feelings when I truly feel things could have been resolved in time.

Gizzille has been jealous of Monique since she met her. When she talks about image for she and her ex husband, that is hilarious. Monique can go on with or without this show. Not so much for the green eyed monster. What would have been refreshing is for her not to return.

Renee, I agree with you! Gizzille really need to leave the show, I can’t stand her sh** starting butt!!!

Jealous of what? Gizelle has multiple streams of income on her own. She has two shows on Bravo. She has no reason to be jealous of Monique.

Reality shows are losing steam and eventually it will be RHOP’s turn to struggle.

Wow! Isn’t Grisel supposed to be first lady? Representing God? It’s interesting. But since Monique left I will not be watching the show anymore.

Gizelle is a hater and I wish she would admit that and own it.
Monique had no real concerns for Gizelle until she tried it. She figured out that Gizelle took issue with her.
Gizelle could learn some valuable things from Monique like how to NOT BE A LAZY MOM, HOW TO KEEP A HUSBAND AND START BUSINESSES.
Gizeele needs to work on her reading skills. Reading aloud and tecording can help or seek therapy. She needs to stop being a busybody.

Giselle knows that she is glad Monique is not coming back. She could not be happier.

Monique said they were looking for a home in Potomac. Gizelle responded, “oh! you don’t have a home?” Any normal person may have said, “we’re just looking for a home in Potomac.” Not, “we have four homes.” Who responds that way?

Monique wasn’t a threat to Gizelle. Monique wanted nothing more than to be Gizelle.
Monique kicked Candiace to the curb because she wrongfully assumed Ashley’s marriage to a millionaire would assure her entry into Potomac society, then she sought entry through Karen, however she was wrong again. Karen and Ashley are merely scallywags, trophy wives, pretentious, commoners simply married to money.
Monique misjudged Candiace, Robyn and Gizelle they were society born and bred, none of them gave a rat’s a-s about the Samuels’s money. Monique and Karen are like today’s rappers with “new money,” they, clearly, want everyone else to SEE their wealth. They do nothing understated

Jealous of what?? Candiace, Gizelle and Robyn have education and careers, they’re capable of standing on their own and surviving without their men; can we say the same for Monique, Karen and Ashley.

Do you realize how silly you sound? The show is called REAL HOUSEWIVES. If you have a problem with women marrying wealthy men, why are you watching? This franchise clearly isn’t for you. By the way, every woman on RHOP is doing better than you, husband or not. Stay mad.

The attitude some people take towards black women who marry well is disturbing. But that’s a conversation for another day.

It’s just more of the same. The comments people wrote on here and on other places during the last season off RHOP were gross. Black people couldn’t wait to get on the internet and be anti-black all because they were Team Candiace, Team Gizelle, Team Wendy, Team Monique, Team Ashley, Team Robyn, Team Karen. They sound like straight up white supremacists because they take a reality show way too seriously. Kenya Moore’s fans have done the same thing on here calling black women “bald headed” for not being on the Kenya Love train. I even had one tell me and others that it’s an accomplishment to grow long hair because those with African ancestry can’t have long hair like that. When I told her about the African tribes of women growing hair to their feet for certain rituals, she accused me of lying when all she had to do was read a few books and articles. We have got to do better. And you’re right, there is nothing wrong with a black woman marrying a wealthy man. Women of other races are actually taught to marry men with money, but when a black woman does it, they are called “gold diggers” and “scallywags.” You’re not doing your kids and family a solid marrying and procreating with broke men. I wish they would take their bitterness elsewhere.

Karen comes from money, in fact, her family runs a successful farm and bought the land after they were freed from slavery. That’s very impressive. She has a successful perfume line sold at a luxury retail company. She had enough of her own money to help Ray pay his taxes. Monique met Chris while she ran her own real estate appraisal company. She now has her own holistic company and sold out of products already. Ashley was winning pageants and started a yoga company. Every woman on RHOP had their own life and accomplishments before marriage. They aren’t reduced to their husbands and it’s pathetic for you to have such an outdated perspective. And to be honest, the black elites in RHOP don’t fool with anyone on the show. They feel it’s lowbrow so that’s what makes your comment so ridiculous. You speak like you know so much about Potomac when you know nothing. Bravo couldn’t cast any real movers and shakers from Potomac because they want nothing to do with reality television. No one on RHOP is in the black elite circle of Potomac. That’s not a secret. And to be honest, it’s laughable that black people advocate for classism so much. It won’t stop racists from hating black people or end white supremacy.

Every black person with money is “new money” thanks to slavery and white supremacy. Do your research. This is honestly one of the most offensive comments I’ve seen on this topic. I can’t imagine being miserable enough to write a comment like this. RHOP brings out the ignorance and anti-blackness in a lot of you. It makes me no longer want to watch it honestly.

The irony of this comment is none of the women you placed on that raggedy a-s pedestal of yours would even be on RHOP if it wasn’t for their husbands and RHOP is the biggest income source for all of them. So in that case, no, they aren’t self-made and self-sufficient either. And that’s okay since the d-mn show is about wives!

And I really wish y’all would stop tearing down these black women on here because you don’t like their actions on a reality show. Also, the jealousy narrative is tired and rooted in misogyny. Sometimes women just don’t like each other and don’t click. It doesn’t mean they’re jealous.

      February 14, 2021 at 8:44 pm

I agree, the nonsense with the jealousy is getting old and tired, I truly do not believe Gizelle is jealous of Monique, regardless to how these women got their money doesn’t matter, they got it honestly and that is all that matters, some people will just never see eye to eye and that is just the way it is.
