The others discuss Jennifer.
Jennifer calls Kristen after her conversation with OG. Kristen feels it was unproductive. But Jennifer still gives Kristen her props for trying to hear OG out. They then discuss the possibility of Jennifer coming to Evelyn’s mansion to talk to the others. But Jennifer isn’t interested even after Kristen tries to persuade her to come over later that day.
Shaniece makes her way to Evelyn’s mansion. She was tested for Covid prior.
Evelyn and the others discuss Jennifer after Kristen gives them a recap of their last phone conversation. Jennifer wants to support OG, but she didn’t experience any racism or colorism in the group. When it comes to Shaunie, she says that she doesn’t have an issue with Jennifer coming by to the mansion at some point. And this is despite their past issues.
A conversation between Jackie and Malaysia could be in the works.
While OG, Jennifer, and Jackie do some football drills for exercise, at the other mansion, Shaniece leads a yoga session.
As Jackie and the others wait for new faces to arrive at the house, OG says that her issue with Kristen is she never knows if she’s being genuine or if she has an agenda. It doesn’t seem like Kristen is trying to really get to know her. And the conversation they had was really about doing damage control.
Malaysia tells the others that she was surprised to hear that Jackie spoke up for her and the others during the colorism conversation. After talking to Evelyn about it, Malaysia is open to them having an honest conversation about what happened involving her children. She still loves Jackie and they were so close at the time of their fallout.
Nia and Noria make their debut.
Liza talks about how difficult it’s been to co-parent with Lamar. Both Evelyn and Shaunie tell her it’s time for her to pull back. She needs to live her life like Lamar is living his. Her children are old enough to work things out with their father without her involvement.
Newbies and sisters Nia and Noria arrive at Jackie’s mansion. They look a lot alike and are two years apart. Noria is married and her husband retired from playing basketball overseas.
Nia is single and she started a cheesecake business. She’s in LA to pursue her dreams as an entrepreneur.
Their father recently passed away from Covid at 58 years old. It was such an unexpected loss. Because of the pandemic, they weren’t even allowed to go visit him in the hospital.
Jennifer breaks down in tears and says she knows how they feel. She’s still devastated about losing her mother years ago.
Jackie needs time to think things over.
While Jackie is hanging out with everyone and getting to know the sisters, Evelyn calls and tells her that Malaysia wants to talk to her. She tells Evelyn she needs some time to process it all. And after they hang up, Jackie breaks down in tears about their fallout.
OG makes a Nigerian dinner for everyone. While she does this, Nia and Noria ask Jennifer if they would vibe with everyone at Evelyn’s mansion. While Jennifer isn’t feeling a lot of the women over there, she doesn’t want the sisters to think they won’t get along with them. So she tells them to be open to meeting the others.
OG gets emotional while discussing a moment from her childhood.
As the ladies eat OG’s Nigerian dinner, Jennifer says it was noble of Kristen to come over. OG isn’t hearing this and says that they need to stop coddling the others in the group. This puts off Jennifer, and in a green screen interview, Jennifer says that it seems like OG only wants to hear what she wants to hear.
Noria and Nia says they understand what it’s like to experience colorism. But OG isn’t feeling it after Noria says that sometimes people do colorist things and don’t realize it. In a green screen interview, OG says that adults should be informed.
OG says she was in first grade when she first experienced colorism. A teacher told her she would never amount to anything because she’s black. Regardless of it being a hurtful experience, OG says she decided to never allow anyone to dictate how she views herself.
OG then gets up from the table to shed some tears. And Noria follows to check on her.
Malaysia and Jackie move forward.
Noria and Nia go to Evelyn’s mansion with Jackie. It’s awkward because of the tension between Malaysia and Jackie. Realizing this, Malaysia says it’s time to cut the BS. And they need to talk alone. When they do go off to talk by themselves, Malaysia gets triggered when Jackie says Malaysia has always been like a sister to her. So the conversation starts off tense.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger.
