The Hugers’ vow renewal is just days away.
Karen and Ray are gearing up for their vow renewal. They are disappointed their daughter Rayvin won’t be there. She’s sick with kidney stones. However, Karen is grateful that her son Brandon will be the one to give her away.
Michael isn’t feeling Candiace or Chris.
Robyn and Juan go on a double date with Ashley and Michael. Both Robyn and Ashley are puzzled by the friendship between their husbands at times. Nonetheless, Robyn asks Michael why he hasn’t been coming around the group lately. And Michael says that the issue is he doesn’t want to be around Candiace and Chris.
Michael goes on to say that he feels Chris is living off Candiace. And he wonders how Candiace is paying him to manage her music career. Robyn doesn’t see the big deal and she wonders if Michael has an elitist attitude towards the couple.
Juan and Robyn say they have been discussing having another child. But Robyn remembers having to do more for the children back then because Juan wasn’t around much. So things would have to be different the next time around. Michael says that they will figure out because he and others are having children at a much older age and fairing well.
It’s a big deal for Candiace, Robyn and Juan clash.
Candiace signs her music deal with E-One Nashville. She’s very excited and grateful for the opportunity. And it’s really a surreal moment for her. So she brings along Dorothy and Chris.
Robyn and Juan go to her new warehouse space for her company, Embellished. They once again talk about trying to have another baby. And Robyn says that she wants things to be different than they were back then. She wants Juan to be a more involved father this time around when the baby is born. This upsets Juan. And he says Robyn is being stupid. In his opinion, she’s trying to make him out to be a “d*ck head.”
Juan storms off and says that he’s not going to keep filming since Robyn keeps bringing this up. Robyn says he’s overreacting. But Juan says she needs to understand he’s not the same person he was back then. There are too many discussions about the wrongs he did. And not enough said about what Robyn did wrong.
It’s the day of Karen and Ray’s vow renewal.
Karen and Ray’s ceremony is a sight to see. It’s beautiful and they even have Macy Gray sing for them.
As the cast begins to eat dinner, the drama begins.
Juan tries to push Michael and Chris to hash things out. Michael says that his issue is how nasty he feels Candiace has been towards Ashley. As for Chris, he didn’t like how Michael approached him at Juan and Robyn’s Christmas party. They begin arguing and Juan tries to calm them down.
Candiace has had enough.
Michael feels Chris should apologize because he put his hands on him. Robyn tells Michael that he played his role in the drama, too. Candiace gets upset and she says that Michael is using his “white privilege” and she has to go. She excuses herself from the table.
Meanwhile, Ashley is at the bar talking to other guests.
Gizelle tries to be the peacemaker. And she asks both men to just agree to not talk about each other’s wives and hug it out. Michael hugs Juan instead.
The night goes on and the dancing begins.
While Ashley and Michael are dancing, Chris and Candiace talk. Chris says that he didn’t like that she said Michael has white privilege. He feels it was too far. And he just wants her to see the “other side.” Well, Candiace gets upset. And she snaps at him warning that he needs to just stop while he’s ahead.
In the season finale updates, it is said that Chris and Dorothy are no longer on good terms. And now they barely speak.
