Charmaine Bey is receiving backlash on social media.
“Black Ink Crew Chicago” star Charmaine Bey is having another tough season. Her father Michael Walker passed away after a battle against cancer. And she’s still mourning her mother Glenda Walker as well. Fans have watched her process both losses on the show. She’s also pregnant with her second child with her husband Neek Bey. As she experiences these changes in her life, she’s also trying to take her tattoo shop, 2nd City Ink, to the next level. However, it’s been hard for Charmaine to balance all of this. So she hasn’t been as present as she needed to be mentally to handle things that were necessary for the progress of the shop. And this has hurt her relationship with Miss Kitty, her former brand manager.
Charmaine has also lost some of her tattoo artists as well. Draya Penzo and Prince really didn’t like the way Charmaine was running her business. So Draya left and after Charmaine accused Prince of hooking up with Draya, she fired him. This was after Prince went all the way off inside of Charmaine’s office. Neek was not able to calm Prince down. So Charmaine will have to move forward without a few of her artists.
Interestingly enough, Charmaine and Neek have both alleged that some of the drama was just for television and part of an inauthentic storyline. And they feel producers should have shown more of Charmaine’s real life instead.
Well, Neek recently had a little bit more to say. He also took shots at the show’s ratings as well.
