As the criticism continues, Cree Campbell stands firm with colorism accusations.

Cree Campbell has unfortunately gotten herself into some feuds in the middle of defending her friends. The “Growing Up Hip Hop” newbie originally took issue with Sakoya Wynter for her treatment of Tanice Simmons as well as her comments about Angela Simmons. So when Sakoya had a blowup with Savannah Jordan at Lil Twist’s party, Cree was ready to have Savannah’s back. Both women ran up on Sakoya. And Cree later told Sakoya that she realizes she was wrong. But Cree was upset about Sakoya telling her she wouldn’t understand why Savannah bringing up her son was offensive until she becomes a mother.

Interestingly enough, Cree would later meet up with Sakoya and reveal there were other words that bothered her. Apparently, Cree didn’t like that Sakoya told others that Savannah and Cree are just jealous of her because she’s pretty. In Cree’s opinion, the comment is colorist. And she said Sakoya is a lighter-skinned woman. She went on to say lighter-skinned women believe they are better than dark-skinned women, so they make comments such as this.

Sakoya said her comment wasn’t about skin tone. And she also compared Cree and Savannah to the Gross sisters on “The Proud Family.”

Well, some GUHH fans felt as if Cree is incorrect. And colorism has no correlation to the comments Sakoya made. Cree doesn’t agree. So she took to Twitter to vent.

She wrote, “Growing up it was always a joke of how dark I was. And there are young girls that feel because they are dark they are not pretty.” Cree added, “And it’s even harder to see two light-skinned women laugh about that #GUHH. However, I stand by what I said. Every woman on this platform is beautiful.”

Cree discussed the Gross sisters comparison. “The Gross sisters in ‘The Proud Family’ were #Jamaican. If you grew up on that show, you will remember the mom had a Jamaican accent. They were a poor black family and the sisters had to work in the sun all day which is why they were blue due to being black and ashy. Wow. #GUHH”

She continued, “To be characterized by the characters in the show ‘Proud Family’…So the Gross sisters were so black they were blue…My black will always be beautiful and all the other pretty chocolate girls, don’t let someone w/a lighter tone claim you are jealous because of how they look. #GUHH”

Cree also thinks some of the criticism she’s receiving for involving herself in her friends’ feuds is ridiculous, “What vendetta? Jealous? If y’all have groups of friends and you don’t stick up for them and y’all hang with females that have had issues with your homegirls y’all are weird. #GUHH”
