Dr. Simone Whitmore and Dr. Jackie Walters’ friendship has been tested.
“Married to Medicine” stars Dr. Jackie Walters and Dr. Simone Whitmore were close friends for years. In fact, it’s one of the friendships viewers appreciated the most on the show. Whenever something difficult happened, they were there for each other. Simone was there for Jackie when she battled breast cancer, too. So it seemed as if nothing would ever come between them. However, some of the drama from the show damaged their friendship. And it started with Jackie’s close friendship with Dr. Heavenly Kimes. It wasn’t an issue at first because Simone got close to Heavenly too. However, that fell apart after Heavenly clashed with Cecil Whitmore.
Heavenly didn’t like that Cecil found humor in Mariah Huq saying Heavenly needed to pressure wash her house. This led to some back and forth between them on Twitter. And Heavenly felt Cecil crossed the line by not staying out of “women’s business.” Once Heavenly became fed up with Cecil, she said he needed to get a job. She also said that Simone had expressed frustration with Cecil leaving his longtime tech job.
Simone felt betrayed by Heavenly. However, Heavenly felt Cecil started all of the drama. And she also said Simone opened up about being upset about Cecil not working on the show. So she didn’t see how she double-crossed Simone. Regardless, she did apologize for coming at Cecil and Cecil has since decided to watch what he tweets. None of that has been able to get Simone and Heavenly back in a good place. So Simone questioned why Jackie continued her friendship with Heavenly when she’s known Cecil and Simone much longer.
Jackie had her own issues with Simone as well. Simone called Jackie out about her drama with Buffie Purselle. Since Jackie didn’t intend to be malicious to Buffie, she felt Simone should have defended her during that tough season. Heavenly and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe did.
So Simone and Jackie only grew further apart during the latest season. Interestingly enough, progress may have been made as the women seemingly concluded filming the upcoming season.
