Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels had a lot of people picking sides.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” stars Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s fallout had people divided on social media. While it’s not uncommon for friends to clash on RHOP, no one thought it would turn violent. However, that’s exactly what happened. So not only was the cast divided, but viewers were as well. There were many discussions about who was in the wrong. While some felt Monique took things way too far, others felt like her snapping was warranted. Monique’s issue with Candiace is she began to question Candiace’s loyalty. Candiace befriended Charrisse Jackson-Jordan. And Monique believed Charrisse was spreading rumors about her marriage and son.
The rumor accused Monique of having an affair with her trainer. They also alleged that her youngest son wasn’t Chris Samuels’ biological son. Charrisse denied spreading this rumor. Regardless, it was said that Gizelle Bryant brought it on the show. Gizelle was also the person who told Monique that it was rumored Candiace befriended Charrisse to hurt Monique.
So Monique said she was already over the edge when the altercation happened at the winery. For Candiace, she feels it should have never gotten that far. Her friendship with Charrisse was innocent. And she felt like Monique should have accepted her friendship with Charrisse because Candiace accepted Monique’s friendship with Ashley Darby.
Well, fans and cast members weren’t the only ones choosing sides. Some reality stars did as well. “Married to Medicine” alum Buffie Purselle was vocal about being Team Monique. Candiace noticed and they have had tension on social media since. So after Buffie called out Bravo for what happened with Dr. Jackie Walters, Candiace accused her of hypocrisy.
Interestingly enough, Monique had something to say about Candiace’s words for Buffie.
