After a controversial departure from RHOP, Monique Samuels returns to television.

Monique Samuels was fed up with reality television. Her time on “Real Housewives of Potomac” came to an end after she got into an altercation with Candiace Dillard. The drama went down at a winery. It was a very polarizing moment on the show. And it left a bad taste in Monique’s mouth since she felt some of her costars may have attacked her marriage. So Monique decided to walk away from the show and seemingly, reality television altogether.

However, Carlos King was able to sign Monique up for “Love & Marriage: DC.” This is the first spinoff for the “Love & Marriage” franchise after the success of the Huntsville show.

Monique appreciated that she was able to suggest cast members. Plus, she feels she has been able to be her true self while filming LAMDC.

During an Instagram Live session with Carlos, Monique said RHOP fans will see a different side of her marriage to Chris Samuels. “Even for the people who have seen me prior on reality TV and seen me and my husband interact, I think after they actually see everything unfold…y’all think y’all know the Samuelses. Y’all really don’t. And you’re going to get to know us for real. Like straight up raw. You know…”

Carlos agreed, “What we’re seeing from Monique and Chris in their marriage, I’ve never seen a glimpse of that on Potomac.”

“Love & Marriage: DC” is expected to premiere on OWN sometime this summer.
