Kimbella Vanderhee’s comments still upset Yandy Smith.
Yandy Smith and Kimbella Vanderhee had a nasty fallout on “Love And Hip Hop New York.” They were never really able to move past Kimbella’s comments about the adoption of Infinity Gilyard. Kimbella accused Yandy of only adopting for clout. Yandy was outraged. And she said Kimbella’s words were harmful to Infinity. However, Kimbella said her jab was for Yandy only. Yandy explained why she doesn’t see it that way in a recent YouTube video.
In the video, Infinity and Yandy answered questions from subscribers. And one person asked if Kimbella ever apologized for what she said about the adoption.
Yandy said, “I mean, you were the one deserving of the apology. I didn’t care how it made me feel. People play dirty on reality TV. But what I think upset me the most was how it made you feel. That car ride home, you was crying and you was questioning how could my best friend say something like that, and if she’s your best friend she must know something that you don’t know. And the fact that you and I were doing so well. Then building our relationship and immediately someone didn’t know anything about us or our relationship…and for them to say something like that and it hurt you so bad…that made me so mad.”
She added, “So I couldn’t care less about an apology for me. But you a child did not deserve that. That’s why I was so upset. It still upsets me. Every time I see somebody say something stupid like if me and you go through something, I see somebody say, ‘Oh, Kimbella was right.'”
It’s really hurtful for Yandy, “That p*sses me off more than anything else because that hurt you so bad because there was something in you that seemed like you believed it.”
Infinity began to question Yandy’s intentions, “I think that for me that was really a tough one especially because I was so new to social media. I went from probably having like 1000 followers to 10k overnight. Having to deal with that and having somebody who was her best friend to say a comment such as she said made me question our relationship and where our journey had to go.”
