Kandi Burruss doesn’t understand why she’s had so many issues with NeNe Leakes.
Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes clashed plenty over the years on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In fact, NeNe was so frustrated with Kandi that she said Phaedra Parks needed to return. And in her opinion, Kandi has been running away from Phaedra for a long time.
NeNe also was upset that she didn’t secure a spinoff show with Bravo. She also said it was unfair that only one RHOA cast member had an actual spinoff show that ran for multiple seasons. NeNe said one of the ladies was a “Terry Crews” in the group and keeping other black women from thriving.
Well, Kandi felt like NeNe was coming for her. So they got into it at the season 12 reunion, and Kandi called her out about this.
Interestingly enough, NeNe had people talking about her recent actions on social media. Ratings for Kandi’s new show, “Kandi & the Gang” went viral. And it seemed as if NeNe may have gotten a little shady about the numbers on Twitter.
During an interview with “It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper,” Kandi was asked if she had any idea why she’s had so many issues with NeNe. And Kandi said she’s so confused, “I don’t even understand what be going on with NeNe for real, for real like…” She added, “I don’t know what her problem is with me.”
Kandi Burruss said she isn’t blocking NeNe Leakes’ opportunities.
Kandi also accused NeNe of calling her a c**n, “It actually p*ssed me the f*ck off when she was…she said somewhere…called me a c**n or something like…what?”
She said she hasn’t done anything to NeNe for there to be so much tension.
“I didn’t do nothing to her and that’s the crazy thing. I think she was having her own issues with the network, right? Or whatever but that was very public. But I don’t know if it’s because I have a better relationship with them. She had negative things to say about me like took that negative energy towards me. And I’m like you know I’ve seen things that her fans say like they act like I stopped her opportunity or something. Or like I see something like well me having a show means it should have been her show.”
The feud is annoying Kandi Burruss.
In her opinion, Kandi doesn’t think she’s blocking NeNe’s opportunities, “Why does me having a show mean anything against her? She can still have her own thing and I can have mine. Me doing what I do is not blocking any of your blessings. Whatever you got going on is what you got going on. I ain’t told nobody to stop nothing for her. So I don’t know why she gives me the energy as if I on tried to stop something that she got going on.”
At this point, Kandi is over it, “I am not that powerful. Even though I know some people put it out there that I may be possibly having that type of power. I’ve never stopped nothing. Never tried to stop nothing she got going on. So I don’t know why her and her peoples be coming at me with all that mess. I normally don’t even address it. In fact, I think this is the only time I’ve talked about this. But it’s annoying as f*ck. Especially when you say things like…using the c**n word towards me because if nothing else, I’m like realistically, I’m the only one out of them that even still lives in a majority Black community.”

I honestly do believe NeNe is jealous that Kandi is given more opportunities by Bravo. That’s pretty obvious.
Porsha and NeNare both jealous of Kandi’s relationship with Bravo. But she’s a favorite with them because she doesn’t come to work with a stank attitude and she’s not hard to work with. Instead of hating on Kandi, her haters should learn from her.
I don’t understand the hate towards Kandi in general. She doesn’t come for anyone honestly unless they come crazy at her first. She’s hard working, successful, and wealthy. And she makes it a point to try to get along with everyone which makes her a joy to work with. Bravo loves her because she doesn’t act like a diva and that’s something NeNe has struggled with. So NeNe should be mad at herself. Her arrogance was the beginning of her downfall.
Shoulder shrug. I wouldn’t continue to give it life by continuing to speak on it.
If Nene’s mad then let her stay mad.
Well I don’t think Bravo/Universal are reconciling with Nene after that c**n statement toward kandi. Nene thought public opinion would sway open doors more than what’s possibly on the table now. It only made people’s perception of her change and honesty it was really unprofessional how nene handled it all. Nene does seem jealous and bitter of kandi, and that’s no shade. I am not sure why kandi was drug into nene’s affairs. just move on already and take responsibility.
