Dr. Ish has the couples perform in a rap battle.
Night one continues as Dr. Ish does his best to calm down A1 and keep him in the house. He’s successful as A1 decides to stay.
As day two begins, Mariahlynn and Rich Dollaz wake up complaining about their room. Meanwhile, K. Michelle and Kastan aren’t interested in mingling with the other couples. Eventually, the producers get them to come downstairs and K. Michelle sparks up a conversation with Gangsta Boo. She becomes a listening ear for Boo as she vents about her relationship with Emmet.
Dr. Ish eventually gathers everyone to head outside. He has a stage set up for a rap battle. Each couple has to battle each other but first, they must write out their lyrics. Each couple uses the rap battle to openly express their tension with one another and Dr. Ish helps them talk out their differences expressed in the raps.
Lyrica and A1 continue to have tension.
After the exercise, A1 and Lyrica seem farther apart than ever before. Dr. Ish believes it’s because A1 broke Lyrica’s trust and Lyrica hasn’t decided to forgive him. Meanwhile, each couple is doing their own thing within their room. Judge Toler and Dr. Ish notice this and decide to turn things up a notch.
So when Dr. Ish calls them to the patio for a dinner, it promises to be very intense. Dr. Ish presents a meal that’s symbolic of a lyric from each of their raps. Emmet and Gangsta Boo’s meal is very spicy and burns their mouths.
Next, K. Michelle and Kastan were given a plate of habanero peppers. In her interview, K. Michelle feels Kastan is very resentful of her career.
Mariahlynn and Rich Dollaz were given a plate of Thai peppers which leads to Mariahlynn going off on Rich.
A1 has an awkward moment with K. Michelle.
For Lyrica and A1, A1 tells Lyrica he wants her to stop being his failure. Lyrica responds by asking him if he felt like a failure when he slept with the other woman. Dr. Ish coaches her on how to forgive as A1 tastes a fertilized chicken egg.
After this, Judge Toler comes out to coach the couples. She lets them know she didn’t like watching each couple staying in their rooms and not interacting with one another.
K. Michelle and Kastan take what Judge Toler took to heart and decide to talk to the others with K. Michelle approaching Mariahlynn first. Next, Gangsta Boo pulls K. Michelle aside and talks. The two had an apparent falling out years ago. However, K. Michelle doesn’t want to talk about it. So K Michelle heads to A1 and Lyrica’s room to hide from Gangsta Boo. When Boo finds her in the room, K. Michelle grabs A1 and fakes a conversation as they walk away. And Lyrica isn’t feeling this.
The episode ends with A1 heading to K. Michelle’s room by himself and Lyrica frustrated A1 didn’t “check-in” with her first.
