Kandi Burruss Doesn’t Like How Some RHOA Fans Treat Don Juan

Don Juan speaks his mind.

When it comes to Kandi Burruss, she’s not always sure what to expect on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She didn’t expect to clash with Marlo Hampton while filming the upcoming season. In fact, Kandi has always advocated for Marlo to have a peach. But when it finally happened, Marlo and Kandi had some issues. And Kandi said that she knows viewers are going to think she was too harsh when they see her response to Marlo’s insults. Interestingly enough, Kandi has a great track record with her friends who are not on the show.

In fact, some of her friends had no problem involving themselves in her RHOA feuds. They take up for Kandi often on social media and Kandi’s “Speak On It.” And one of the most vocal friends Kandi has is Don Juan.

In the past, he’s been critical of Porsha Williams. This isn’t surprising since Porsha played a role in Phaedra Parks’ harmful lie about Kandi and Todd Tucker becoming a focal point on RHOA. However, Don Juan doesn’t just have opinions on the people Kandi may have issues with. He’s also been opinionated about Kenya Moore’s actions, despite how close she is to Kandi.

So he didn’t mind calling Kenya out on “Speak On It” when Kandi Burruss said that some of the ladies didn’t seem all that enthusiastic about giving back at one of her charity events. Kenya would later tell Andy Cohen that she’s in a good place with Don Juan. And she donated a lot of money to Kandi’s cause.

Kandi Burruss doesn’t like how some RHOA fans treat Don Juan.

At times, RHOA fans have called Don Juan out for his opinions. They feel he is “the help” and he shouldn’t speak about any of the ladies on the show.

Don Juan has a main spot on Kandi’s new spinoff, “Kandi & the Gang.” He appeared on her YouTube channel to discuss how he’s been adjusting to being a cast member. And he said it’s easier than dealing with RHOA fans who don’t like the fact that he’s opinionated.

“It’s been easier in its own kind of way…I’m not public enemy number one.” He continued, “Yeah, number one because people feel like okay, I work for you. And even though I have my own relationship with your friends, I’m not supposed…’the help’ ain’t supposed to speak to your friends.”

Kandi said she doesn’t like how Don Juan is criticized either, “I don’t like how they be trying to treat you like that.”

To Don Juan, it will never make sense to him that some people don’t feel he should be vocal with his opinions.

“So that was wrong but I’m not supposed to say that’s wrong because you feel like I’m the help? Okay, cool.”

Regardless, Kandi feels like Don Juan should be entitled to his opinions. And she doesn’t look at him as “the help.”

  1. The only people who have this issue with Don Juan are the Porsha and NeNe stans. Which makes sense because neither are great at being real friends to anyone. So they want to hate Kandi for actually treating her friends like human beings.

  2. The truth is they don’t like his opinions. They’d love him if he had nothing but positive things to say about their faves ????

  3. I think most have a problem with MEN getting involved in WOMAN disagreements…Kandi can hold het own TRUST!!!!!!

  4. I don’t recall Don Juan getting involved in any disagreements. I’ve never even seen him argue with any of them. But if he did? So what? None of these women are shrinking violets. H-ll we just watched Porsha whoop up on Dennis. Men and women are allowed to have opinions. Don Juan speaks his mind, has Kandi’s back and keeps it moving. I truly think people are really just mad that Kandi has real friends. But she’s blessed because she’s a good friend back to people and she’s always doing good for others.
