It’s awkward for Brandi and Malaysia.
Jackie and Doug have kept up the tradition of getting married every year. On the day of their 26th wedding, Shaunie calls Jackie to tell her she won’t be able to make it. She’s stuck at the airport and her flight keeps getting delayed. So she will make sure she makes the next one.
As the LA girls reunite after so many years, it’s noticeable that Malaysia and Brandi are no longer close. Since Jennifer is sitting next to Malaysia at the wedding, she asks what’s up. And Malaysia says, “It’s no beef, we just don’t talk.”
In a green screen interview, Brandi says she’s known Malaysia for like 15 years. They used to be very close until they fell out. So it’s weird to see her after they haven’t spoken in 3 years.
Malaysia makes her exit.
Brandi decides to be the bigger person and speak to Malaysia. It’s really awkward. And Brandi asks Malaysia if she knows her dad Wolf died a month ago. Malaysia says she’s sorry and she had no idea. Brandi accuses her of lying, and she says they have mutual friends. So there’s no way Malaysia didn’t know. At this point, Malaysia decides it’s time for her to leave.
Since Jackie sees her walking out, she goes outside to see what’s going on. Malaysia tells her what just happened with Brandi and she just can’t deal with the energy Brandi just brought to her.
Should Brandi and Malaysia repair their friendship?
Shaunie and Jackie catch up on another day. They briefly chat about Shaunie’s love life. She’s really happy with the pastor she’s seeing. And she thinks he may be the one for her.
They discuss Brandi and Malaysia’s fallout. Shaunie is on better terms with Brandi despite their issues years ago. So she’s going to talk to her to see what went wrong between the former friends.
Angel has found love with Roccstar, a producer, during the pandemic. They are expecting. And they haven’t shared this news with everyone yet.
Shaunie and Brandi meet up to talk. Brandi says Malaysia broke her heart by not reaching out to her after her father died. His death was unexpected. She’s devastated. And he was even living with her. Shaunie encourages Brandi not to close the door on repairing the friendship because they really were close.
It’s another tough conversation for Malaysia and Brandi.
Malaysia is also going through issues. She tells Jackie that her ex hasn’t been paying child support. And it’s been stressful dealing with this.
Despite the tension, Jackie still has a get-together for all the ladies. Jennifer, Duffey, Angel, Brittish, Brooke, and Brandi are all there. When Angel is encouraged to drink, she tells everyone she can’t because she’s pregnant. They all congratulate her.
Not too long later Malaysia shows up. Brandi doesn’t waste any time calling her out. So Jackie and everyone else encourages them to go off to have a private conversation about the demise of their friendship. When they do, Malaysia once again says she didn’t know Brandi’s father passed away. And she even had to find out Brandi had Covid from the blogs because Brandi doesn’t talk to her.
Malaysia says there is no way she wouldn’t have reached out to Brandi if she knew her father died.
Brandi still isn’t sure she believes Malaysia, so they continue to argue. And the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
What are your thoughts on the season premiere?
I NEVER cared for Brandi however i loved her and Malaysia friendship…so it is really SAD to see them beefing….Malaysia goes hard for her friends sometimes i thought she went too hard.I don’t like Malaysia as much as i use to because of how she TURNED on Draya for Brandi….anywho i hope they are able to fix their relationship.
Brandi came too hard for Malaysia I didn’t like it brandi always come off strong and Malaysia always had her back I see she coming with the same energy again Malaysia has always been a good friend to everyone on the show there has to be a reason she wasn’t there for brandi maybe but she didn’t go to Malaysia to talk she went to accuse and deflect I anit like that..
