Season 10 of “Basketball Wives” features the return of some of the LA cast members.
It’s probably not surprising that producers wanted to change things up with the current cast of “Basketball Wives.” OG accused the cast of colorism. Plus, her issues with Evelyn Lozada resulted in a lawsuit. So she and Evelyn did not film any scenes together during Season 9. However, Kristen Scott and Malaysia Pargo did film scenes with OG. And both said they wanted to hash out their issues which required getting to the bottom of the colorism accusations.
The conversation didn’t go well. OG accused both Malaysia and Kristen of not siding with her amid her feud with Evelyn because Evelyn has lighter skin. As she continued to stand firm about her perspective, the other women felt like there would be no resolution. Producers seemingly agreed since a major cast shakeup took place for Season 10. OG, Evelyn, Kristen, and Feby Torres were not brought back.
Interestingly enough, Kristen talked about this during a recent interview. She confirmed that she wasn’t invited back for the current season. And it seems as if this is because producers wanted to try to move on from the colorism accusations completely. They decided to bring back multiple cast members from “Basketball Wives LA.” So this resulted in the return of Brandi Maxiell, Brooke Bailey, Brittish Williams, Angel Brinks, and DJ Duffey.

Despite this, Kristen said there’s an opportunity for her to come back for Season 11.
She told Pop Culture, “The show actually decided to go in a different direction, as you can see when they did the recasting. From what I understood, based on my phone call, I was attached to someone else on the show that was not going to be recast and that kind of wanted to be forgotten. The things that were being brought about, it was a very sensitive subject with some of the things that were going on. And I think, and this is me speaking, that Basketball Wives wanted to go into a direction that wasn’t so heavy.”
She continued, “My last season was very heavy and they did not want to be reminded of such a heavy thing. And so they did do a recast. I was never told that I would never be asked to come back. In fact, the next season, they may have a space for me to fit in there, for me. I am very appreciative and blessed to have been part of the cast. I just have gone a different direction in my life, as of now.”

We want OG!!!!!!!!
Yeah I figured bringing all those LA girls back and OG and Evelyn being pushed off was an attempt to change the narrative. It did become way too toxic. Sucks though because OG was a great addition. Colorism is real but I don’t think colorism was why she struggled to get along with everyone else outside of Cece. I’d like her back on the show but it doesn’t seem like that will ever happen.
OG became a huge liability. They didn’t like OG because she had a nasty attitude most of the time and came for people unwarranted but expected for everyone to still like her. That’s not how it works. Ensemble shows mean you have to get along with more than one person to stay on the show. Anyway, I’m sure people will be seething when Evelyn returns next season. It’s obvious at this point.
I honestly like the cast they have now. But I can see Evelyn, Feby, and Kristen returning at some point. Tami as well in a couple of years.
OG got on Instagram and posted audio she wasn’t supposed to. I think producers are done with her like Bravo is done with NeNe.
OG accused the cast and PRODUCERS of colorism, right? She’s not going to be invited back then. People ain’t about to risk their livelihoods in this cancel culture era to work with OG. Now given what the cast has been saying lately, Evelyn is definitely coming back. And she should because I always felt like her, Tami, and Jackie are all necessary. Since Tami doesn’t want to come back, they’ll bring back Evelyn so Jackie doesn’t have to be the only one causing mess.
