Kanan has a lot of questions.

One of Raq’s men is beaten up and robbed while delivering product in Newark, New Jersey. And he is told that nothing comes through Newark unless Sal Boselli gets a piece.

Raq goes on a date with Cartier. He tells her he washes his money with art. She’s impressed.

Marvin takes Kanan to see his Uncle Vernon in prison. He wants to know more about Def Con. Vernon tells Kanan that he acts a lot like Def Con. Regardless, Marvin tells Kanan that all that matters is the people who have been there for him.

Raq continues to evade the truth.

Later on, Kanan steals some cash he finds that was hidden in shoe boxes in one of Raq’s apartments.

Laverne finally gets the courage to go to her mother’s house to talk. Her mother says she abandoned her because she was young and scared. But she wants a chance to be in Laverne’s life now. And she wants Laverne to move in.

Meeting his uncle didn’t do much to deter Kanan from wanting to know more about Howard. So Raq tells Kanan that Howard was going to pin her and Kanan for Buck Twenty’s death.

Raq stands firm.

Lou, Marvin, and Raq meet with Boselli and his men. Boselli tells Raq how much she’ll have to pay him to do business in Newark. And she flat-out refuses to pay anything.

After Unique makes another terrifying appearance at the bodega, Juliana is furious that Raq told her the strategy is to do nothing for now.

Raq tries to reconnect with Symphony. However, he tells Raq to let him go. He wants to move on with his life.

One of Raq’s men is robbed again in Newark. And Raq watches from a distance as Kanan walks into Howard’s place.
