The Bordelons scramble to stop the Landry Family.
The episode begins with Aunt Vi reeling. She’s searching for someone who can help overturn Parker’s petition.
Meanwhile, Micah’s with Nova and Ralph Angel. They’re watching tapes of the family and stressing out. Nova feels she can find enough relatives and descendants to stop Parker’s plan to overturn the land from becoming a historical landmark. Later on, Micah was in his photography class listening to a lecture on NFTs. The lecture seems to inspire Micah as he listens intently. After class, he speaks to his professor for more details on NFTs and learns of someone named Zane who may be interested in his work.
Back at the diner, Hollywood congratulates Prosper on his first date with Sandy. Hollywood offers to help him make the date memorable. Next, Ralph Angel leads Mo and the family on a tour of the farm. Nova sets a date of her own with Mo.
Meanwhile, Billie runs into Parker at the grocery store. Oddly enough, Parker gives her the name her mom called her; Imani.
Hollywood helps Prosper with his date with Sandy.
Later in the day, Hollywood is helping Prosper get ready for his date and gives him a pep talk. Prosper still loves and misses his wife but he also likes Sandy. Nova’s date with Mo seemingly goes well as she learns more about her. Mo’s part Cherokee and Black.
Back at the gallery, Micah shows his photos for the art show, and Zane is impressed. Aunt Vi’s also impressed with Joaquin but notices something may be wrong with family at his home. Billie and Darla take Mrs. Parthena who is behind on mortgage payments to their lender’s office.
The loan officer doesn’t seem to be very helpful but after a tense conversation says he could work with them if they can come up with the full payment in 48 hours. A black loan officer was listening in and meets with Darla outside the office. He hands Darla a card and tells them to call for help, although he tells her he may not be able to do much.
The next day, Darla and Mrs. Parthena meet with the co-op regarding the situation. Ralph Angel proposes they chip in to help her make the payment. Meanwhile, Micah heads to Zane’s office to meet with him regarding the NFT idea. Zane’s a fan of Micah’s work.
Sam’s plan works as the City Council votes in his favor.
Later on, Aunt Vi and Hollywood run into Parker and Sam outside of the contentious City Council meeting. Dominic wasn’t able to get any word from the historical society regarding the descendants. Nova speaks out during the meeting encouraging them to vote against Parker’s petition. Parker says she wants to honor the victims and give them a proper burial.
The Council votes in favor of Parker. Billie looks away when Parker quietly gloats.
The Bordelons look defeated.
Later on, Aunt Vi and Hollywood are on a boat that Hollywood is trying to convince her to buy. Meanwhile, Micah’s at his apartment when Zane stops by. He’s impressed with the photos and asks Micah to view his portfolio. Meanwhile, Billie tells Nova about her run-in with “Imani” and the advice she gave him about Vince. Oddly, Nova agrees with the advice.
Nova tells Billie about a last-ditch protest on the land.
The next day, Micah’s in Zane’s office and Zane’s team celebrates Micah’s first NFT sale. Prosper also impresses Sandy with his date with help from Aunt Vi and Hollywood. The two seal their date with a kiss.
While at home, Ralph Angel’s watching the video Micah digitized, showing his daughter and Darla. Ralph Angel gets a call from someone distressed and runs out. He heads out to Mrs. Parthena’s, the farmer facing foreclosure. The sheriff is evicting her from the home despite the help from the Co-op and extension paperwork in Darla’s hand. Aunt Vi and Hollywood show up to help.
