Tension grows between Lou Lou and Cartier.
Lou Lou kills one of Boselli’s main hitters. He’s the man who shot at Marvin. In the next scene, Marvin is shown attending Renee’s funeral. Turns out he survived the hit put on him by Boselli.
Famous’ landlord bangs on the door demanding to be paid back rent. He tells the man he can get Lou to give him and his girlfriend studio time. He and Kanan also learn that Crown’s body was just discovered by police.
Famous asks Lou to handle his rent issue but Cartier tells Lou he’s not going to sit back and let the studio be used to pay Famous’ rent. Although Cartier did originally promise to be a silent partner, he’s speaking loudly. And Lou hears him loud and well.
Raq makes her move on Cartier.
Kanan and Howard talk again. Now that Kanan knows Howard is his biological father, it changes a lot of things between him and Raq. But Howard doesn’t want to talk about the shooting or anything else from the past. He wants them to focus on having a relationship in the present.
Raq secretly meets with a couple of Cartier’s men. She even hooked one up with an attorney since he was recently arrested. Raq is told that both will commit to working for her after Cartier is dealt with.
When Howard makes it back to the precinct, he finds out Burke has been interested in a crackhead named Sam who claims he witnessed Howard being shot.
Jukebox and Marvin make progress.
Marvin and Jukebox grab a bite to eat. He tells her there was a lot of crying at Renee’s funeral. He realizes he’s done a lot of messed up things because he’s a messed up person. So he just wants to do right by Juke and everyone else moving forward. Juke tells him that nothing matters more than him doing good for himself.
Cartier tells Raq he wants to buy into her business so he can help her expand.
Sal (Boselli) and Unique talk about Raq declining his offer to kill Marvin to make up for Marco’s death. Unique thinks Sal is wrong to try to pin Marco’s death on anyone else but Marco. And he refuses to snitch on Raq so Sal can take her down. Of course, this disappoints Sal.
Marvin thanks Lou for dropping Boselli’s shooter who shot at him. And Lou lies to Raq about not knowing who killed Crown. Raq says Sam, the crackhead who saw Kanan shoot Howard, has to die. Marvin later picks up Sam.
Decisions will have consequences.
While Kanan is sleeping, Famous goes to Kanan’s ex-girlfriend Corrine’s house to borrow her mother’s gun. He claims he needs it because men are after him. He later tries to use the gun to rob Freddy (the guy who previously robbed him and Kanan). When Freddy pulls out his gun in self-defense, Famous fatally shoots him.
Jukebox tells Kanan that Nicole’s dad thinks Burke gave Nicole the drugs she overdosed on. And Kanan doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to forgive Raq for lying about who his father is.
Marvin drops Sam off at the bus stop and gives him a lot of cash to disappear. Sam makes the choice not to listen.
Raq and Lou kill Cartier to move forward with their operation.
