Krystal and Rok think Ceaser is out of line.

Ceaser’s new artist Nychelle introduces herself. The group assumes she was hired to be Krystal’s replacement after Krystal decided to quit due to the ultimatum from Ceaser. She was originally a painter before she became a tattoo artist.

Krystal and Rok go ring shopping since Rok proposed with her promise ring. They discuss the drama with Ceaser. Both think it’s unfair that Ceaser asked for a cut of the money they make at their shop. And they don’t believe they are eating off the Black Ink brand by having their own thing.

A sudden death stirs Teddy.

Teddy and Euni throw a little party for their puppy’s 1st birthday. While it’s a joyous occasion, Teddy is sad about the sudden passing of his father. He planned to reach out to him but didn’t get the chance.

Bux is putting together a charity event for Sickle cell anemia. He was born with the condition. He breaks down in tears as he remembers that doctors said he wouldn’t make it to his 19th birthday. So this is a cause that is very close to his heart. Black Ink artists will do free tattoos for people who have sickle cell or were affected personally by it at the event.

Teddy learns more about his father.

Ceaser has another conversation with Rok. Rok tells him he doesn’t think it’s fair that Ceaser wants a percentage of what he and Krystal make at their shop. And he doesn’t want to change the name to Black Ink. So Ceaser tells him that he should prepare for the likelihood of him opening up a competitor shop nearby since they don’t want to meet his demands.

Teddy meets up with his brother. They discuss their father’s death. It’s a difficult place for Teddy to be in since he never had much of a relationship with his father. His brother says their father was a good man despite his shortcomings. And he only wanted his kids to be happy.
