The current season of RHOP is controversial as a result of the accusations about Chris Bassett.
Chris Bassett didn’t expect to be the subject of so many accusations on the current season of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” However, the accusations only worsened on the recent episode. It started with Gizelle Bryant accusing Chris of making her feel uncomfortable at last season’s reunion. She claimed Chris approached her asking if they could speak in private. They talked in her dressing room. And Gizelle claimed she was uncomfortable because she was alone in the room with a married man. The optics bothered her because all the ladies had beds in their dressing rooms.
At Wendy Osefo’s burn session, Ashley made things even messier. She accused Chris of being flirty with her friend at Karen Huger’s event. And she also alleged that Chris allegedly sent inappropriate DMs to other women.
Chris is disappointed and upset about the accusations that have been made about him this season. But he’s grateful that many RHOP fans have expressed they don’t believe he’s done any of the things he’s been accused of. Regardless, Chris thinks it’s important he continues to fight for his reputation on social media.
Chris Bassett doesn’t want to sue anyone and he’s trying to understand Gizelle Bryant.
While on Instagram Live, he told his supporters that he doesn’t agree with the narrative that Gizelle can’t find a man. But he does think that her actions stem from the trauma she experienced from her failed marriage to Jamal Bryant.
Chris said, “Gizelle has no problem finding a man. It’s whether or not she doesn’t want one. I feel like a lot of what she said that made her uncomfortable is because of the **** her ex-husband did to her. And I can understand that. I get that. Just tell me, just tell me. Because if you would have told me that, I would have said I totally get it. I understand. That’s fine.”
He added, “Does Gizelle want me? In no way, shape or form do I think Gizelle wants anything to do with me.”
Chris also confirmed he won’t be suing anyone for defamation, “Can I sue them for defamation? I’m not suing, I’m not a litigious person.”
He continued, “I’m not gonna sue anybody. Am I angry, am I upset about it? I am…”
Gizelle accused him of grabbing Ashley’s friend’s butt. He’s not a cast member and should consider suing for defamation. That’s a serious thing to accuse someone of.

Gizelle did say that. She said that on the last episode after Candiace dragged Ashley. Rewatch it if you get a chance. I was shocked Gizelle said that because all Ashley said was he was flirty with her friend. Gizelle flat out lied about what Ashley actually said and accused Chris of s-xual assault.
Gizelle said that baby. And she was so wrong for that. She’s lucky Chris isn’t going to sue.
I have to commend Chris for trying to rise above the drama and FALSE accusations and narrative that is being portrayed. However, he needs to take a stand against this. It is not right! I want to commend Bravo for airing footage that dispels all the lies being put out there by Ashley, Mia, and Ashley’s friend.
Gizelle took her ghost producing way too far this season. Chris is handling this better than he has to. He could be cursing her out and he’s still trying to have empathy for her. Wow. I respect it.
