Mia Thornton’s marriage crumbled after she and Gordon Thornton were pushed out of the family business.

Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton confirmed she and Gordon Thornton separated ahead of the Season 8 premiere. Several weeks ago, Mia also confirmed she has a new man in her life. Fans figured they would see this play out during the current season.  So far, Mia has been open about the current financial difficulties they are dealing with. She and Gordon have been pushed out of the family business allegedly by Gordon’s brothers. As a result, they had to downsize their family home. Mia suspected the stress and tension from the change in their finances may have made their marriage challenging. She said Gordon had become too difficult to get along with at times. This made her consider leaving.

Well, Mia and Gordon will reveal more about their marriage during the upcoming episode. In the preview, they attend a session of couples therapy. Since Mia brought up considering a divorce in the past, the therapist questions if this is something she is considering in the present.

Mia answers, “I think I said this in our session last time I was here with you. You know, I am committed to Gordon through thick and thin. And so when I seek counsel for a divorce, it was because I wanted to outweigh all of my options because I felt like we were in a space where you were really difficult to cohabitate with.”

An interesting accusation was made in Mia Thronton’s interview.

She continues, “There was a moment where you were very combative. You were combative with your kids. You were combative with our partners. You were combative with me and I was like…I’ve lived my whole childhood, which I had no control over, was combative. I’m not living a combative life.”

Mia also made an interesting accusation in a green screen interview.

She said, “I mean truth be told, the first time I hired a divorce attorney, Gordon emptied my bank account. All the way to zero and said I can’t leave him. No man or female should ever do that to anybody.”

  1. He shouldn’t have known where your bank account was or that you had one. If he had to know there would have only been enough in it to keep it open.

  2. You have two delusional people together. Where was the trust in this marriage (arrangement) from the beginning? Why is Gordon so despite is he only now trying to save face because he is being beyond stupid.
