RHOP has a new vibe thanks to the departures of Robyn Dixon, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Nneka Ihim.
Season 8 of “Real Housewives of Potomac” was easily one of the most controversial yet. Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett’s feud worsened. Gizelle also didn’t want anything to do with Wendy Osefo. Robyn Dixon also wasn’t on good terms with Wendy or Candiace. So scenes featuring the entire cast were often contentious. Newbie Nneka Ihim also struggled to find her footing due to the cultural insensitivity of her beef with Wendy. Fans took to social media to complain about the lack of chemistry between the cast and their annoyance with two Nigerian women seemingly being pitted against each other by Ashley Darby.
Another controversial moment of the season was the physical altercation between Keiarna Stewart and Deborah Williams. Deborah was trying to assault Candiace but Keiarna and others intervened. Deborah then hit Keiarna in her face with a glass. Keiarna has since sued Deborah and Deborah countersued.
Robyn and Candiace announced their departures from the show not long after the reunion for Season 8 aired. Candiace left by choice to focus on her pregnancy. Robyn said she was fired. Nneka eventually confirmed she would not be returning on social media.
Well, Bravo released the trailer for Season 9. In the video, Karen Huger and Mia Thornton are still on bad terms. So Mia isn’t interested in giving Karen grace for her recent DUI charge. Gizelle and Wendy have buried the hatchet. Wendy and Karen’s friendship is tested after Wendy learns Karen may have told other people that Wendy is too self-absorbed. Keiarna doesn’t trust Ashley because of the fashion show altercation. And Gordon Thornton isn’t quite ready to accept Mia is moving on with her alleged side dude of many years.
Keiarna and Stacey Rusch are the two new housewives. Mia’s bestie Jacqueline Blake and Jassi Rideaux join the champagne flute holders as friends.
RHOP returns on Sunday, October 6.

Both were probably given an ultimatum by the network. The colorism conversation was a bad look.
Doubtful. They probably made up because they no longer have any friends on the show. They both needed to make up to keep their jobs
I’m not sure why a couple of you think Gizelle is above being fired when NeNe and Mariah weren’t even safe! Gizelle was absolutely told to play ball and move on with Wendy! Wendy wasn’t the one who refused to be around Gizelle. Gizelle flat out refused to do scenes with Wendy. She didn’t make a change now out of the kindness of her heart! That Essence article did more than y’all realize.

I do think Wendy has become slightly self-absorbed. Before I was Dr Wendy Dr Wendy. Then she got work done and now it’s look at my boobs Wendy lol.
