SoGucci Williams told Carlos King that Selena Johnson joining “Belle Collective” made her feel unprotected.
The latest season of “Belle Collective” has been controversial since Selena Johnson joined the cast. During the previous season, Sophia “SoGucci” Williams and Selena got into an altercation in front of the cameras. Things had been contentious between them before the messy moment. Drama in the family only worsened when SoGucci pressed charges. SoGucci was eventually granted a no-contact order. To no surprise, her actions didn’t sit well with her stepdaughters. She’s been in a rocky space with her stepdaughters since things unfolded last season. Regardless, JJ Williams said he felt SoGucci made the right call to get the law involved. Now his relationship with his daughters is also strained. During a recent episode, JJ said his daughters have to make peace with SoGucci in order for him to mend things with them.
Well, SoGucci shared her thoughts on Selena joining the show when she appeared on Carlos King’s YouTube channel. Interestingly enough, SoGucci said casting Selena made her feel like producers didn’t protect her.
SoGucci said, “You know Carlos, I really felt disrespected. I did have a no-contact order with Selena which ended I think October 2nd this year. And the producer was sneaking around filming her. Just to be honest with you, we gon keep it 100. I just feel like I was on a platform where I thought I was protected. But I didn’t feel it, I didn’t feel it from your crew. I didn’t feel protected.”
She continued, “And it kind of confused me a little bit.”
Carlos King said SoGucci Williams should take some accountability for what transpired.
Carlos responded, “Well, I don’t know how you didn’t feel protected because at the end of the day you know she was coming on the show.”
He then asked SoGucci, “You knew she was coming on the show, right?”
SoGucci proceeded to say she did not know Selena was going to become a belle.
“No, let me tell you how I found out she was on the show…actually, let me tell you. They were filming the baby shower and Latrice posted a picture on social media where they were actually at the baby shower. I said they’re filming the baby shower? I didn’t know that. Maybe some of the other belles knew but I didn’t know.”
Carlos once again denied that SoGucci didn’t know Selena was joining the cast.
“No, listen, there was a conversation about her joining the show. You knew about her joining the show. And at the end of the day when it came to y’all being in the same room, we understood about this no contact order but also, we also knew too that when it came to y’all being in the same space, that we were going to respect the boundaries of that. And that’s why when you left the improv class, you left and Lateshia went after you to try to get you to stay.”
He added, “I’m not going to give away what happened the rest of the season, but I do think…look, at the end of the day there is some sort of accountability on your part that should be there based on you really…let’s be real here, you really wanted to figure things out with her. And you really did regret what happened when it was revealed how you know the drink was thrown, all that stuff.”
Carlos also mentioned security was hired.
“So when it came to that, that is what happened. We also have security there too. So again, you weren’t in a situation blindly but I also understand that at the end of the day, you, JJ, and Selena do have this history. And I am aware that what Justin said too that you also said that’s your husband and no shade, you’re married. You’re gonna ride for your husband.”

While I do feel like Sogucci started that fight, ignoring a no contact order in any workplace is a dangerous game. Carlos and OWN won’t stop until they are hit with multiple toxic workplace lawsuits. Very ignorant people over there at OWN and Kingdom Reign. Karma won’t miss though.
Soguchi needs to shut her mouth and stop with this mess. I have seen how she starts the mess and cries wolf like she is innocent. Selena doesn’t want her ex husband and you may need to leave. So tired of seeing the way these black women are doing on tv.
I don’t like how Carlos always thinks he can speak for a black woman and disregard our feelings. He wouldn’t do any of that to a man. And that is my issue with certain gay men. A lot of them have a misogyny problem.
Who is making all the calls over there at OWN since Oprah sold her shares? A no contact order should not be violated for a reality show. I hate how Carlos is so raggedy and unprofessional but people ignore it because he’s a man. Meanwhile these same people who support Carlos will never give that kind of grace to any of the black women on these shows.
Carlucifer is the devil and I’m so sad for all of these women going through feeling unprotected and tryingto work. The corporate wold he would be fired. She isn’t the only one that has said this to him. When will OWN pay attention. When someone is hurt? Carlucifer is a liability in my opinion.
Carlos doesn’t care about anyone on any of his shows. He will do anything for ratings.
This is what Carlos does. Remember he blindsided Kandi and brought her daughter’s deadbeat dad on RHOA without telling her? Then he went behind her back and tried to sell a Xscape movie without her knowledge. A friend to many is actually a friend to no one.
I’m trying to understand why Carlos thought having a YouTube channel was a good idea. He interviews his employees and intimidates and punishes them when he doesn’t like their answers.
Whew! Carlos is really feeling himself lately! He better humble himself before God does!
