Florence has moved on.
Chyng updates her mother about how things are going with Marquez since he’s been out of jail. Things aren’t good. Marquez just won’t be faithful despite all she’s done for him. She caught him trying to flirt with the woman who works at the reception desk of their apartment building. Her mother plans to visit to remind Chyng that she is amazing and doesn’t need Marquez.

Florence has been quietly dating Haitian artist Yani. They are really happy but Florence is still hesitant to tell her family about their romance. She knows coming clean to her family could change things for them. This worries Florence.

Florence’s family doesn’t approve of her new boo.
Chyng is in the middle of another shoot when Marquez arrives, insisting to speak to her. She hasn’t spoken to him in days and told her social media followers that she is a single woman. Marquez feels blindsided. But Chyng thinks he should have anticipated her ending things after he constantly cheated on her. Now she is going to focus on her career.

Florence brings Yani around to meet her family. Her mother and Gaelle say he is too young for her. Florence is tired of them trying to have so much say so when it comes to her life. When her mother kicks Yani out of the house, Florence decides she doesn’t need her family’s approval. Meanwhile, Marlon and Yani briefly speak outside. Marlon says Florence can’t get mad when he brings around “his person” next time.

Amara and Pinkydoll get into it at Ray J’s audition.
Ray J invites Amara and Pinkydoll to audition for roles in his movie. This eventually leads to Amara and Pinkydoll arguing. Amara decides playing Ray J’s games hasn’t been worth her time. She doesn’t need the money. So she leaves the audition.
Pinkydoll clashes with Ray J once Amara departs.

Chyng’s mother visits. She’s immediately disappointed to see Marquez is still hanging around. Chyng confirms she recently made up with Marquez. While she believes she checked him properly, her mother thinks Chyng would be better off moving on for good. She walks away once Marquez attempts to plead his case.

What are your thoughts on the episode?
I continue to have a problem with Chyng’s weight being celebrated. Point blank: She needs a healthy weight. Everytime I see her on the show I cringe. To think that no one in her circle can give it to her straight is beyond me. Get your weight together Chyng. Your rap skills are amazing, but I can’t get past the weight.
This show has become a very boring, hood soap opera.
It’s good TV though!
Florence, that family and her dating habits are depressing. For her sake, I hope it’s all scripted and fake.
