Will Smith’s Spokesperson Responds to Rumors of Jaden’s ‘Emancipation’

Another day, another controversy surrounding the high-profile Smith family. Jaden and Will Smith have a new movie coming out (After Earth) and both have been very busy promoting the film and giving numerous interviews. But it would be a recent interview that would have everyone talking more about their family life more so than the actual movie. According to The Sun, Will told the publication that Jaden has asked his famous parents to grant him an emancipation so he could move into his own house for his 15th birthday. To be expected, the public is ripping Will and Jada’s parenting style to shreds thanks to the interview, and Will’s publicist is now attempting to clean up and set the record straight. Gossip Cop reports:

The tabloid claims Will Smith revealed that Jaden told him, “Dad, I want to be emancipated.”

The paper quotes Will as saying, “I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh.”

“That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand,” the movie star allegedly added.

Wow, that’s pretty wild.

But is it true?

NO!

Unlike a number of other blogs who regurgitated The Sun’s reporting without bothering to fact-check, Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Will, who tells Jaden does NOT want to be emancipated from his parents.

Will’s publicist tells us exclusively, “This isn’t real.”

Interestingly enough, Will and Jaden made an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and Will says he was simply making a joke but unfortunately it was taken a little too seriously. When asked about the rumors, Jaden says:

“The thing that people don’t get is everything at this house is free. So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years. He [Will Smith] says as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies I can get my own house.”

K. Michelle and Chad Johnson dating? K. Michelle and Chad Johnson have been interacting with one another quite a bit on Twitter for the last few months, and their daily interaction with one another has caused many to speculate that a romance could be brewing between them. It also didn’t help any when K. Michelle took to her Twitter account recently to slam Chad and his taste in women. When one of the singer’s fans asked her if she would ever date the former football player, she said that wouldn’t happen because he doesn’t like to date real women. Despite that recent admission on the social media site, gossip site Media Takeout still concluded that both are now dating and posted pictures of them hanging out together the other day. The very vocal K. Michelle of course didn’t waste any time addressing the speculation.

K. Michelle took to her Instagram account to shut down the rumor and even suggested she’s not dating anyone and is completely single. She even revealed that she’s so focused on her music right now that she’s not really worried about pursuing any man. She writes:

Let Chad tell it via his Twitter account, these two are just friends and hang out often on a platonic basis for now. But when one of Chad’s followers asked him if it could ever be anything more than friendship, Chad simply said, “I love her, she’s dope.” We’re not sure if that really answered the question though. But for now, don’t believe the hype.

Ciara is back with new music as so far her single ‘Body Party’ is performing rather well on the charts. And the singer is on a mission to get her music career going strong again as she has made some changes to her upcoming album that has gotten great reviews so far prior to it being officially released. Ciara’s music career is on the up and up these days and so is her love life as CiCi has started up a relationship with Rapper Future. Though their relationship is still a rather fresh one, Ciara and Future have gushed about each other on many occasions in interviews and seem to be really feeling each other. It’s obvious that things are going well between Ciara and Future from what we can tell, but supposedly the latest gossip bit on these two suggests that their relationship involves more than just them.

Ciara and Future were spotted in pictures together inside the King of Diamonds club earlier this week. And a story from MediaTakeOut suggested that Ciara and Future did more than make it rain on the adult dancers at the club as the website claimed that Ciara and Future took one of the dancers back home with them to engage in group activity in the bedroom, leading people to question if Ciara and Future have some sort of open relationship going on.

A source who is said to be employed by the club tells HipHollywood though that no dancer left the club with Ciara and Future but they did spend money while inside the club, Future dropping around $16,000 on the dancers, not the $55,000 that MTO reported.

HipHollywood’s source must be on it as Ciara took to her Twitter account and says to kill that talk about her having a ‘minaj’ because she is not even one for sharing her man with another woman:

Now that Kim Kardashian is a couple of steps away from being officially divorced from NBA star Kris Humphries, most people speculate it’s just a matter of time before she finds a new husband in current beau Kanye West. The couple is expecting their first child together, and even though it’s speculated Kanye has spent most of Kim’s pregnancy in Paris recording his upcoming studio album, rumors have been spreading like wildfire that these two are planning to get hitched just as quickly as the baby is born. These reports of course contradict what Kim told Extra TV a couple of weeks ago when she said she feels she should slow down since her last two marriages weren’t successful:

“I’m just glad for Kris and I both that we can just move on. I think we ultimately both wanted the same thing, so I’m glad that we were able to just come up with an agreement and just move on for the both of us. [On marrying Kanye] Don’t you think I should slow down? I think I should slow down. I’m just really enjoying my time with Kanye right now and we wanna (sic) have the baby and when you know how it’s gonna (sic) be in the end, there’s no need to really rush it right now.”

Kim’s camp has wasted no time in shutting down the rumors and they tell E! News that Kim and Kanye aren’t planning on getting married just yet:

In response to a report that the pregnant star and boyfriend Kanye West have their eye on having a big destination wedding in Big Sur, Calif., Kim’s rep tells E! News that the story is “100 percent false.”

And it doesn’t get much less true than that.

Basketball Wives LA cancelled by VH1? Although the Basketball Wives spin-off returned for a second season, rumor has it that Basketball Wives LA has been cancelled. Even with adding a few new faces to the mix with the outspoken Brooke Bailey and Bambi Benson and drumming up talk about Karrine Steffans joining the cast, the show’s ratings took a huge dip and it looked that Basketball Wives LA was on its way to getting the boot by the network. Shaunie O’Neal assured viewers that the show would be getting a makeover yet some of the cast members decided to make their own moves before any cuts were made. Cast member Gloria Govan revealed that her time on BBWLA was most likely over and hinted that the show might not make it to a third season and was on the verge of cancellation. And with the most recent reports that have been floating around, it sounded like Gloria was on to something as it is being said that Basketball Wives LA’s time on VH1 is up.

After hearing the multiple reports about Basketball Wives LA being cancelled, one of the show’s stars Draya Michele decided to take it upon herself to figure out what was really going on and went straight to the people over at VH1 to get the whole truth about the situation. And after she spoke with them, Draya took to her Twitter account to let everyone know that they haven’t seen the last of her on their television screens and that she would be appearing again on VH1 as the rumors about BBWLA getting cut were false (Read from bottom to top):

Are Mimi and Stevie J. back together? Mimi and Stevie J. back together is now the latest gossip surrounding the reality TV stars as their relationship went on display as the couple joined Love & Hip Hop Atlanta for its first season. And now that Mimi has a new man, the thought of Mimi and Stevie J. back together became an afterthought, well at least for some people it did as some of Mimi’s fans aren’t completely sold on the idea that she is completely over Stevie or rather that he isn’t done trying to get back with her. Without a doubt, Mimi and Stevie’s relationship was one that viewers found most entertaining and it was one of the highlight storylines of the first season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. The producer and the mother of his daughter Eva had their share of issues prior to getting on the show but things escalated once Joseline Hernandez was added to the mix as she started to become more than just an artist to Stevie.

Ever since Joseline revealed that she was pregnant with Stevie’s baby, things went from bad to worse between Mimi and Stevie, with them having moments where they were set on trying to work things out. Twitter beefs popped off between them and Stevie even coined Mimi’s boyfriend as his stunt double. While Stevie is still dating Joseline off and on, the topic of Mimi and Stevie J. getting back together keeps coming up. One of her followers tweeted Mimi about the gossip that was going around about Mimi and Stevie J. supposedly getting back together and they questioned her about it, saying that they hoped Mimi was not foolish enough to go back to Stevie. Mimi told the follower not to believe the hype:

Kevin Hart Addresses Alleged Beef with Robin Thicke on RHOH Set

Kevin Hart‘s show Real Husbands of Hollywood is set to return to BET for another season as the show brought in huge ratings for the network. Though RHOH is coming back for a second season, not all the cast members of the show will be returning as it was confirmed that Singer Robin Thicke was quitting the show. With the news of Robin leaving the show, the gossip about why he decided to walk away surfaced as it was said that he and Kevin Hart had a hard time getting along with each other and that Kevin took things to far with the jokes that he made about Robin. Talking with HipHollywood, Kevin Hart confirmed again that Robin Thicke did quit the show as Kevin says Robin is going back to focusing on his music but hopes to have him back again in the future:

“Well you know, Robin is a man of many faces within his career. You know, he’s a songwriter, song producer, singer and tours and does a lot of things. So within this season, his schedule and what he was doing didn’t coincide with the show, so you know, he opted to go and do his music, which is a great thing for him because he’s talented in both areas. You know, hopefully, at some point in time, we can have Robin come back and do some more stuff. But for this particular period, he went to go on and do better things for him ”

And as for the talk about them beefing, Kevin says there is no truth to that at all as he and Robin are “very good friends”:

“I don’t even know where all that stuff came from. That’s the power of the blogs. I just laugh. I don’t even respond to it, no. Me and Robin are very good friends. We’re cool, still talk, still hang out. There’s no love lost between Robin and myself.”

Duane Martin spoke on Robin’s departure from RHOH too, jokingly referring to Robin Thicke as the “Bobby Brown” of the group, and says that he thinks Robin will be back:

“Robin’s Bobby Brown. He’s Bobby Brown. He probably quit the group for a week. He’ll be back…He’s a singer. Singers quit groups all the time. Like is that not typical? He started out solo. Then he got in the group, then he quit the group. Then he’s gonna be like Eddie Kane Jr. He’s gonna come back…”

India Arie accused of bleaching her skin? India Arie is not only an artist that is known for her Afro-centric style but she is also one that is all about self pride and loving yourself just the way God made you. Whether she is rocking her natural hair or rocking none at all, India Arie’s vibe has always been one of extreme confidence as she tries to stay away from the mainstream norms when it comes to how singers should look. However, the cover for her new single “Cocoa Butter” has folks thinking that India Arie is not practicing what she preaches anymore as the singer appears to look a few shades lighter on the cover, leading people to think that she bleached her skin. Rapper RhymeFest is the one of the many people who got a conversation going about India Arie’s appearance on the cover and struck up talk about whether or not she bleached her skin through a series of tweets (Read from bottom to top):

Amber Rose Shuts Down Talk About Her Post-Baby Body

Amber Rose just stepped into motherhood a few weeks ago as she and her fiance’ Wiz Khalifa, who is on cloud nine about landing a big endorsement deal with Converse that he has been waiting on for a long time, welcomed their son Sebastian into the world. And it was a much anticipated birth as people thought that Amber was on her way to having the baby at one point before she actually did, Amber jumping in and assuring everyone that her and Wiz’s “chicken nugget” was “still baking”. Becoming parents for the first time, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have been steadily gushing about the joys of parenthood, Amber admitting that she has a love for breastfeeding while Wiz says that he will be spending more time with their newborn son and less time in the studio for a little while. While Amber and Wiz are busy enjoying their new baby, others are busy talking about how Amber looks now after being pregnant for what some feel was an eternity. Much chatter has been going on about how Amber Rose looks post-birth of her and Wiz’s son, with a lot of it being pretty negative. As we’re sure Amber has heard all of the talk about her supposedly looking bad after giving birth to Sebastian, she promptly took to her Instagram account and posted a picture of herself to silence her critics who insist that she looks a hot mess:

Last night, some shocking news broke about the status of Rapper Lil’ Wayne’s health as TMZ put out a report that the rapper was on his death bed, in critical condition, using tubes to breathe after suffering from seizures earlier this week, TMZ claiming that he suffered from more on Friday night. The website went even further to claim that Lil’ Wayne’s mother was on a plane flying out to Los Angeles and that he was given his “last rites”. Prayerful messages were being sent out left and right for Wayne and his family and friends as many thought that he wasn’t going to make it. Well it didn’t take long before those close to Lil’ Wayne called BS and squashed the report that the website was running with. President of Young Money and Lil’ Wayne’s childhood friend Mack Maine was one of the first to break their silence as he promptly took to his Twitter account to dispel the story, saying that Wayne was okay and that he was watching a basketball game with him, also adding that an official statement would be released concerning the incident and Wayne’s health status.

Birdman followed suit as he too said that Lil’ Wayne was okay and not dying, Nicki Minaj also subtly speaking out against the story by retweeting Mack Maine’s tweet. Before the night ended, Lil’ Wayne himself assured everyone that he was good and thanked them for their love and prayers. Lil’ Wayne’s response to TMZ writing him off as a dying man was short and to the point. Mack Maine and T.I. though had a few choice words for TMZ:

Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Wright posted a message on her Instagram account directed at the website. Toya wrote:

As for the youngest of the bunch, Lil’ Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter, the newest edition to YMCMB, she didn’t let the rumor get to her as she laughed off the “fool” and their talk about her father.

The caption she added along with the photo she posted on her Instagram account reads: “Don’t listen to The Lies, I swear there all lies TMZ you a fool.”

As we are glad to hear that Lil’ Wayne is not on his death bed, Young Money publicist Kia Selby did confirm that he suffered from a seizure and is “recovering” from it.

As we reported recently, there have been plenty of rumors spreading around on the blogs and media regarding the current status of LeBron James and his high school sweetheart and fiancée Savannah Brinson. According to multiple reports, the couple is having some major problems in their relationship and some reports even suggested that the couple had broken things off, including their upcoming wedding. The foundation of these rumors is the lack of appearances the couple has been making together as of late, with a lot of people raising eyebrows when Savannah missed some really important events (like LeBron’s recent trip to the White House) and opted to instead spend time with her close girl friends.

To calm down the rumors, Savannah and LeBron made a recent appearance together at a charity event, but it still isn’t enough to quiet down all the chatter surrounding their relationship. Gossip Extra caught up with Savannah the other day at an event and they asked her if there is any truth to the couple calling off their wedding.

Here’s the snippet of the report from Gossip Extra:

Savannah Brinson, the fiancee of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James and the mother of his two children, tells Gossip Extra that reports of trouble in her relationship with James are wrong!

“Some people have nothing better to do than starting rumors,” Brinson told me at a recent Miami society gala. “It’s not because we’re not together 24/7 that we’re having problems.”

So, Savannah, are you guys still getting married?

“Yes, we are definitely getting married, but I’m not telling you when or where!”

Ice-T & Coco Separating? Rep Speaks

Are Ice-T and Coco Separating? The couple and stars of reality television have had a rough couple of months in the public’s eye. Things got sour quickly when photos of Coco being a little to friendly with an up and coming rapper began to spread around the internet. Ice-T spoke out against the photos on his Twitter account, and made it known that he wasn’t pleased that his wife took such disrespectful photos. Coco apologized to Ice-T and their fans on her Twitter account, and the couple vowed that they would work through their issues in private. However, the up and coming rapper AP.9 has made the very hard to do as he is pulling a Kat Stacks and doing every interview possible to keep the controversy alive.

Recently, AP.9 made headlines for claiming that he has some very risky photos of Coco that he was shopping around to magazines, and that he’s been allegedly sleeping with Coco without protection during her time in Vegas.

Ice-T seems to be directing his anger with the situation these days to the media, but he did stand up for his wife recently on his Twitter account, claiming that people are just hating on his marriage. Despite the loyalty Ice-T’s been flossing on the social networks, reports are suggesting that the couple may be over. The latest gossip is claiming that Ice-T has filed for separation.

However, the rep for Coco says the rumors are simply false, and no such paperwork has been filed in any court.

The rep tells Rumor Fix:

“Ice and Coco are doing totally fine, the separation rumors are false. hose papers are fake. They are not addressing rumors or the photos (her posing with that rapper) and are moving forward happily.”
