Katt Williams Speaks on Child Endangerment Arrest

Katt Williams has had some very interesting legal troubles over the last few weeks. However, despite what many claim is erratic behavior, the comedian is convinced that the powers to be are after him and he also claims he is not on any hard drugs. A close associate of the comedian claims Katt is actually suffering from mental illness, and is refusing to take his medication for the symptoms. After briefly retiring from stand up comedy, the comedian is back to performing and catching more charges along the way. His latest arrest was a pretty serious one, as the comedian was arrested Friday for Child Endangerment.

According to the LAPD, illegal guns and drugs were found at the home. As a result, Katt’s children were placed in protective custody.

Katt, who is known for always being outspoken, feels the arrest was unnecessary. TMZ caught up with him recently, and Katt had no problems speaking his mind on the situation. Katt says the guns were found in a lock box and the only drugs they discovered in the house was weed. He also thinks it’s nothing wrong with having guns in a home with children as the comedian said, “How do you keep kids safe without guns?”

TMZ reports:

Katt was arrested and his 4 kids were taken away after his house was raided by cops, who found numerous guns and illegal drugs.
Williams told us the guns were secured in a locked box, adding, “If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you’re gonna find guns! I’m not in a gang, what difference does it make?”

Katt also told our photog there were no drugs at his house — well … he admits there was weed, but says, “Weed is not a drug.”
