Rapper Shawty Lo’s upcoming reality show hasn’t even premiered yet but it’s making headlines as people have reacted with disgust on the premise of the show. All My Babies’ Mamas has been confirmed to premiere this spring on Oxygen Network, but the show is being met with plenty opposition since it follows the rapper’s life which includes 10 baby mamas, 11 kids, and a 19 year old girlfriend. Oxygen Network confirmed in a public statement that the show was meant to cause controversy, as it will show the inner workings of a “modern day” blended family that consists of plenty of baby mamas who can barely get along for the sake of the 11 children.

Although Shawty Lo seems to have no shame in the show, plenty of black people seem to, as a petition that was created over a week ago already has over 22,000 signatures. The creator of the petition was hoping the petition would cause the network to back down from going forward with the show, but now it appears that the network has no plans to scrap the series.

In an exclusive statement to Radar Online, Oxygen Networks says that despite the petition and national outcry surrounding the show, the series All My Babies’ Mamas will still premiere this spring.

The statement reads:

“Oxygen’s one-hour special in development is not meant to be a stereotypical representation of everyday life for any one demographic or cross section of society. It is a look at one unique family and their complicated, intertwined life. Oxygen Media’s diverse team of creative executives will continue developing the show with this point of view.”

We already told you that we didn’t see the network budging because of the petition. This network has plenty of terrible shows, such as The Bad Girls Club series. Honestly, until advertisers start pulling away from the show, we fully expect this show to premiere this spring. And by the looks of recent tweets, there are still lots of people who plan to tune in and watch the foolishness.

  1. All any network cares about is ratings and advertisers. Until one of them comes up short, they don’t care about no damn petition. I hope they lose advertisers. Enough is enough.

  2. Lies. They know damn well that they were playing off of stereotypes. That video was disgusting, And now it’s been deleted. Go figure.

  3. It’s so sad that any black person is excited to see this bullish-t. I tell you some black people are so damn stupid it’s sad.

    1. May I ask, what is the difference between this show and sister wives? I can say this much, at least they are all getting along and looking out for their children. I am sure this show is for money for the family so why not let it be? Smh

  4. I’m not going to lie, I will watch this out the sure joy of laughing + being disgusted at the same time. I am curious: was this produced by the people who do Maury?
