Singer Erykah Badu doesn’t mind at all putting people in their place or checking someone when she feels the need to, Erykah even coming for other artists during her performances. Erykah Badu’s ex-boyfriend Jay Electronica can attest to that as the singer checked her baby’s father for posting pictures of her two daughters Mars and Puma, her daughter Puma being the one that she has with West Coast rapper The D.O.C., on the Internet after she said she talked to him before about not doing that. And now Erykah Badu has some words for Rapper Papoose for using some of her vocals on his new track ‘Cure’ from his recently released album ‘The Nacirema Dream’ without getting permission to do so, Erykah Badu claiming that the vocals Papoose used on the song were 10 years old. Erykah addressed the situation via her Twitter account and threw in a smart remark while she was at it: (Read from bottom to top):
Papoose peeped Erykah’s tweets and responded by saying that he didn’t get why Erykah wouldn’t be thrilled to have her vocals on the song as it has a such a strong message behind it:
We have heard Erykah Badu put down vocals on Hip-Hop tracks in the past. However this time around, she claims it wasn’t authorized and is not happy about it, positive message behind the song or not.
LOL. I love me some Erykah Badu.
I smell a lawsuit coming on…
Erykah stays pulling folks’ cards on Twitter. LOL.
Yes ma’am. LOL.
Lol.
Some things shouldn’t be tweeted. Just get your lawyers on the job…
Erykah is a trip. I don’t believe he did the paperwork tho.
