Rick Ross is currently under fire for recent lyrics which sounded like he was referring to date raping a woman by putting “molly” in her drink without her knowing to have his way with her later. Rick Ross seems to think his lyrics are just being misinterpreted for something he says he doesn’t condone, meanwhile a lot of people have been boycotting the rapper for the lyrics and even boycotting Reebok for giving the rapper an endorsement. Rick Ross did apologize, but his apology just isn’t it cutting it for most of his critics, especially since he seems to suggest people just didn’t understand his lyrics, a claim most strongly disagree with.

Rick Ross’ artist Meek Mill attempted to defend him the other day, but Meek may have done more harm than good since he basically ended up calling Rick Ross’ protestors “weirdos” for speaking up against lyrics that sound very much like date rape.

In an interview with 93.9 WKYS, he says:

“You know man, I don’t even care about nobody criticizing lyrics man. People rap about killing stuff all day man. Biggie said ‘rape your kid, throw her over the bridge,’ back then and it was nothing, it was just hip-hop. Now you got all these weirdos on these social sites voicing their opinions about something anybody say. I don’t care. You know what I’m saying? I’m from the hood. I never really cared about what nobody said in no raps. Raps always been talking about killing, drugs, all types of stuff, you know what I’m saying? So you can’t just criticize no one thing nobody say man. It’s imaginary visuals. If a writer write about somebody getting raped in a movie, is he a rapist or he want girls to get raped? No, he just wrote about that in a movie.”

  1. MMG won’t stop until they have no more female fans. They are idiots. People being outraged doesn’t make them “weirdos,” it makes them intelligent human beings who are tired of the offensive lyrics these rappers spew over these beats. Get over it Meek.

  2. Meek is always putting his foot in his mouth. He is such an ignorant person. Of course he would defend Rick Ross. He doesn’t have any sense either.

    1. Ha! Girl yes, give him a spelling test on some of these words he said in the interview and he would fail.

  3. Sigh…just because Biggie rapped what he did doesn’t mean it was OK and people didn’t mind it. My parents definitely didn’t like the idea of me listening to his music when I was a kid BECAUSE of those kinds of lyrics. He’s a fool if he thinks people didn’t speak out against Biggie’s lyrics. Nonetheless, Biggie died the same way he wrote his lyrics…VIOLENT. That’s saying a lot.

  4. This isn’t a good look for Rick Ross. He needs to keep his little chihuahua on a leash and stick a biscuit in his mouth to shut him up. He’s about to lose that Reebok endorsement if he doesn’t humble himself and act like he understands why people are mad. Free speech in this country comes with a price when you have something to lose.

  5. I couldn’t get past his terrible grammar and constantly saying “You know what I’m saying…” Ugh. These rappers are sad cases.

  6. I’m over everyone in MMG except Teedra Moses. In fact, I’m mad Rick Ross signed her because she’s too good for them. LOL.

  7. STFU Meek. You don’t care until it starts hurting your pockets too, which it will. And I’m sure Rick Ross feels the same way. It’s cool tho. I won’t be supporting them…

  8. Welp, who didn’t know that Meek Mill was an idiot who doesn’t care about anything? That was obvious from his music.

  9. I knew I didn’t like Meek Mill for a reason. This is an opinion he should have kept to himself because it’s a very touchy subject. Well I never liked Meek Mill but I can’t support Rick Ross anymore until he takes this more seriously.

  10. He’s doing more harm than good. I get what he’s trying to say, but he needs a lesson in the whole “it’s not what you say but how you say it.” ‘Cause this right here was a whole bunch of nothing that actually trumps Rick Ross’ claims that his lyrics were misinterpreted. *shrug*

  11. What in the hell is this dude talking about? I guess he promotes slipping molly in women’s drinks to rape them. It’s pretty sad that a man or any person needs to resort to drugging someone in order to get pleasure. All he had to do was hire a prostitute. Ugly a-s man – actually the majority of these rappers these days are quite ugly and very suspect…..wearing skirts and carrying murses……LMAO Rick Ross is a lame a-s rapist and a fake gangsta…..he was a Correctional Officer…..LMAO….what street cred does he really have? LMAO
Meek Mills needs to shut the hell up before we boycott his ugly a-s! Just don’t speak….shut up!
