Basketball Wives star Tami Roman might be focused on showing the world that’s she a better person on the upcoming season of the reality show which is set to return in August, but she’s surely not going to wait for the show’s return to demonstrate her growth. Recently, Tami’s ex husband Kenny Anderson was arrested for DUI, but the reality star decided she wasn’t going to give in to people’s wants and use the opportunity to blast him about it an interview. She wrote to his fans on Instagram:
“My email was flooded with interview requests pertaining to the story above. Here is my comment…. Even though our relationship is strained that is still the father of my babies. I would never find joy within his trials. Clearly he is hurting and all I can do is pray for him.”
Kenny may not have to worry about his reality star ex-wife blasting him in the public during his recent legal troubles, but he does have to worry about employment. Reports confirm the retired basketball player was fired from his coaching job as a result of his recent DUI. Gossip Extra reports:
Former NBA star Kenny Anderson lost his only paying gig this week in the wake of a DUI arrest near his home in Pembroke Pines.
Anderson, 42, worked as boys basketball coach at the private David Posnack Jewish Day School in Davie.
Anderson, the ex-husband of Basketball Wives star Tami Roman, was signed with great fanfare in 2011 with the hope he’d lead the Rams to respectability in a tough urban league.
That didn’t happen.
And the weekend high jinx was the former New Jersey Nets and Boston Celtics standout’s second arrest since he started coaching at the school!
“Kenny Anderson will not be returning as head basketball coach next season for the David Posnack Jewish Day School,” Athletic Director Danny Herz wrote in a statement.
Neither Herz nor a half dozen school officials commented further.
Despite the bad news, Kenny seems to be holding up well. He tweeted that he’s still in good spirits and keeping positive during the hard time:
Well hopefully he’ll get his life together. He could have killed somebody including himself.
Agreed.
When it rains, it pours. I hope he learns his lesson and get some help for his drinking issues.
It sucks to lose his job but he should know better
Wow. I hope he gets help.
SMH…
I can only pray for them.
Firing him is a bit much IMHO.
When you know better you do better. He got lucky last time and now he’s here. So maybe this was the wakeup call he needed.
