50 Cent’s reputation for beefing with other rappers and celebrities has been a long-standing one as the rapper doesn’t tend to pass up the chance to go in on other artists in the game. Yet, the Queens rapper does have a soft side. And the most recent gesture he made to a grieving family from his hometown proved that 50 definitely has a big heart. 14-year-old Queens native D’aja Robinson was shot on her way home from a Sweet Sixteen party, a gunman loading the side of the city bus she was riding on with nine bullets. Due to the severe injuries that she sustained, the young teenager died at a nearby hospital, D’aja’s tragic passing sparking outrage within the community that she lived in. The slain teenager’s funeral took place this past Friday. And to show his full support of the victim’s family, 50 Cent took care of the funeral expenses for them.

50 Cent spoke on the tragic death of D’aja Robinson, and reminded people that he has a heart and will never forget where he came from.

He writes:

“People always try and paint negative images about me I’m the most genuine down to earth person and I didn’t forget where I came from I came through for baby girl by providing a horse and carriage for her. She was pretty, innocent and didnt deserve to die like that R.I.P D’Asia Robinson.”

There were an estimated 2,500 people who attended the funeral, including hundreds of teenagers, who showed their support for the Robinson Family.

Our prayers go out to D’aja Robinson’s family and friends during this time.
