Ludacris’ girlfriend Eudoxie receives backlash for gifting black girls with white dolls? Ludacris hilariously dismissed the rumor of him getting hit in the head with a bottle at a nightspot in Atlanta. And now his girlfriend Eudoxie has caused some controversy with the gifts she recently gave away to young black girls. Eudoxie is receiving a lot of heavy criticism from people over what was supposed to be a nice gesture to young girls who reside in her native country. It all started over a picture Eudoxie posted on her Instagram account of her little sister packing for a trip they were about to take to Gabon. And in the picture was a suitcase full of toys that they were planning to give to the needy children who live in the West African country.
The gesture itself wasn’t what people had an issue with it. It was the color of the dolls as Eudoxie got dragged for giving white dolls to the black girls.
Here are a few comments from Eudoxie’s critics:
“Would you give poor white girls a bag full of black barbies?”
“Clearly u have issues with your own color. Ive never saw a white person buy a black doll.”
“It’s one thing to be diverse. But that is not what she did she gave a specific color on purpose were there not any black dolls to send to Africa to these blacks girls? Smh.”
Eudoxie clapped back at all the backlash with this post:
Even with all the criticism Eudoxie received, there were many people who had positive things to say about her selfless act. And it sparked a heated debate among those who saw the photo of the dolls.

I’m not one to tell someone how to spend their own money. But how many little white girls do you see walking around here with black dolls? Exactly. So I wish black women would give their little girls black dolls. Teach them to love their own features starting at an early age. Had we gotten more black barbie dolls growing up, we probably would love our black features a lot more than we do now. But again, it’s her money. No need to raise a fuss when she has a right to buy what she wants to.

I’m annoyed by this woman. Why on earth is she trying to patronize anyone for suggesting that a black girl should have a black doll. Isn’t that what most kids do? Most white kids have dolls that LOOK LIKE THEM. But I guess that’s ok…but don’t dare encourage black women to do that for their own kids. If so, you’re ignorant! What a douche bag.

I can’t at her response. Very ignorant. No one was saying everything had to be black. All they were trying to explain is that by giving a black girl a black doll, you’re sending a message that could teach her to start loving her black features at an early age. I mean really…

With all that Brazilian hear in her head, I can’t say I’m shock she’s giving away white dolls.

I think she really missed the point of what people were trying to say. I also don’t see it as a big deal but I do see where people are coming from. White girls don’t hate being white and their parents give them white dolls. It would be nice if black girls could also have dolls that look like them. So they deserve the same luxury? I mean we struggle with more self identity issues than most races. And it starts young with little things like this.
Well it’s her money. But my little girl will have black dolls with natural hair. I want her to embrace her own features.
So is she going to call out all those little white girls for having white dolls? Why is it wrong for little black girls to have black dolls? Why do they have to be so “diverse” and “open minded” but they don’t? She’s an idiot.
She was wrong to take white dolls to black girls in Gabon. Especially since West Africa is the epicenter of light skin v dark skin related issues in Africa. Anyone that is aware would know the importance of westerners reinforcing that black is beautiful especially when Chinese companies are actively playing up the West African ‘self-hate’ card and sending untested skin lightening products to be tested on African women who suffer permanent skin damage and sometimes even death.
AND her response about living in a black house and wearing all black was a poor uneducated response. She could have done better. African’s in poor and improvised areas already have a skewed vision of American ideals, she had an opportunity to show that European beauty standards might be mainstream, but YES there are black dolls that represent black beauty. Instead we have a black woman from America delivering white dolls to children who are taught their skin color is wrong by British imperialist. Wow.
