K Michelle apartment eviction drama going on over the singer not paying her rent? K. Michelle’s journey on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” came to an end this past Monday night as she made the big announcement to her cast mates that she was moving to New York to further pursue her dreams. And though her time on LHHATL is over, K. isn’t throwing in the towel on reality TV as she confirmed that she has her own show on the way and will be appearing on the next season of LHHNY. But before she made her official exit from the show, K. Michelle made sure she put an end to the beefs she had going with some of her cast mates, including the infamous one she had going with Rasheeda.
While things are going well in her new relationship and music career as her debut album is only weeks away from dropping, K. Michelle just got hit with an eviction notice from her landlord in GA for not paying her June and July rent before she left the city. K. Michelle’s landlord in Atlanta filed an eviction notice against her and the filing claims K. owes $6,450, in addition to late fees, along with $1,250 for filing and administrative fees. Broker Jason Lapene, whose name also appears on the filing, told Access Atlanta that he wasn’t opposed to letting K. out of her lease early without penalizing her for it, however Jason says she left without telling him, which made it hard for him to sell her condo:
“I was trying to accommodate her,” Lapene said today. “But she just disappeared and didn’t give me the keys. I don’t even know what the deal is. She didn’t tell me she was leaving and made it difficult for me to sell the unit. She made it miserable for me.”
K. Michelle may not be snatching wigs like she used to but she still has no problem keeping it all the way real with people when it comes to what is being reported about her. After hearing about the reports going around about her not paying her June and July rent, K. Michelle took to her Instagram account to give a simple explanation as to why she didn’t pay rent for those two months:
I guess.
LOL she shut that down fast.
Time to lawyer up.
For some reason I believe her. Maybe because she’s pretty honest. Well she needs to get an attorney and get this handled.
Broke already?! LMAO!
Her not paying for a place she was not staying in does not make her broke it makes her smart. I would not pay for a place I don’t lay my head
I don’t blame her for not paying if she expressed things weren’t working. The landlord is supposed to handle that.
I believe her. #shrugs
My boo ain’t broke. I wouldn’t pay either if the landlord refuses to fix broken things.
Her lawyer better handle this. Sounds like her landlord is in the wrong.
Still have to pay K it’s the law but Iandlords have too much power if things are not working for a period of time you shouldn’t have to pay . I been through this same thing you have to still pay and just file complaints while you figure out a plan or you will get evicted which is totally unfair.
Wow! So you haven’t took a shower in 2 months. Lol! You will loose in court pay that man his money! Or did you need to save up to move to New York it is very expensive. K is a big liar.
