Gabrielle Union’s show on BET “Being Mary Jane” is a certified hit if the ratings are any indication, but her personal life may be just as scandalous as the show.

The actress is still dealing with the fact that her husband to be Dwyane Wade fathered a child outside of their relationship, but she’s staying tight lipped about the situation while doing press rounds for the show.

In a recent interview with Coco Fab, she says some pretty interesting things about the show and gives some rather frank advice to men as well.

When asked if viewers will ever find out what Mary Jane did with that frozen sperm she collected from a lover in the movie pilot, Gabrielle says:

“You will find out.The sperm becomes a character that you will see throughout the show and you will find out what happens to the sperm. So, throw away your own condoms fellas. Throw away your own condoms [looks at camera and makes a face].”

The actress then goes on to say that she feels her character Mary Jane just can’t get it right when it comes to men:

“She can’t get it right, she’s on a case of can’t get it right. God bless her. She tries, she wants the world to think she has it all and she’s super together and she just makes a lot of bad decisions. Within one episode, you’re going to laugh with her, cry with her, you’re going to cuss her out, you’re going to hate her and then you’ll be like, ‘Girl, can you just get right?’”

Don’t forget, a brand new episode of “Being Mary Jane” comes on tonight at 10pm/9c.

  1. Shouldn’t she be telling D Wade to remember to throw away his own condoms? He obviously could have used the reminder…I mean if he even used one at all.

Come on boo.

    1. I think she’s still in denial and thinks she is in a better position than her character because he put a ring on it.

    1. YESSSSS! I’ve been saying this since seeing the movie. Mara Brock-Akil and Salim tried her. And he actually said after reading the script, he immediately thought of her.

  3. She was on the Queen Latifah show too recently and Latifah asked her how she felt about being a stepmom to three kids. They chatted it up like she wasn’t going to be a stepmom to four. Smh

  4. I don’t think Gabby cares that D Wade cheats. She probably just wants him to remember to use a condom next time. Not all women care about getting cheated on sadly.

    1. Agreed. I still think she deserves better than this. I’m holding onto hope that she will wake up one day and see that for herself.

  5. I’m praying for this sister and other sisters who don’t realize their worth out of fear of being alone. I’m rooting for her to awaken and become an example that women can come back from bad relationships and bad mistakes. Best of luck to you Ms. Union.

  6. So is this the lie D Wade told her – that he used a condom but his new baby mama went behind him and used the sperm in it to trap him? *blank stare*

  7. I dont remember her being this vocal and I think she should go back to be being less vocal. Everytime it comes out that she’s done an interview i get nervous. I get she promoting the new show but she’s making it waaayyyy too easy….

  8. *looks at picture* Is that the same face she made when D Wade told her he knocked his side chick of 9 years up despite their “relationship”?
