Chris Brown recently confirmed that he’s dropping two albums this summer and now it appears he’s eliminating his most recent legal problems so he can release his new music without a hitch.

As we recently reported, the singer was arrested months ago for allegedly assaulting a man outside of a hotel in DC, but he decided to check in to a 90 day anger management rehab program to lessen his chances of serving any jail time.

Well it appears Chris’ decision to attend rehab paid off.

According to TMZ, the singer will not be serving any time in jail for the DC incident even though it occurred while he was on probation:

Prosecutors asked the judge to throw Chris in jail immediately and set a probation violation hearing. Prosecutors claim “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society.”

The D.A. claims they have now reviewed the D.C. case — interviewing witnesses and examining evidence — and they say there is probably cause to believe Chris is guilty as charged.

The judge, however, ruled Chris was better off completing his 90-day rehab for anger management than being thrown in jail, so he shut down prosecutors.

  1. I’m not surprised. As long as he chills out and focuses back on the music, I will continue to hope for the best.

  2. Why celebrate? He’ll just do some more dumb sh-t in a few months and end up right back in court. I bet he keeps his lawyer eating good.

  3. He will never change because his lawyer keeps his little violent behind out of jail. I can guarantee you he will be violent again. He’s such a loser.

    1. You mean was Karrueche there supporting her man at his hearing? She sure was. Don’t tell me y’all are still mad.
