Rappers Lil Wayne and Drake just confirmed they will be heading on their first joint summer tour together in the upcoming weeks, but Lil Wayne is making headlines for an old topic that just won’t die.
Years ago Lil Wayne and Baby were photographed kissing each other on the lips as they greeted one another and it caused plenty of controversy, as some began to question the sexuality of both men.
But Turk, a former member of Lil Wayne’s old rap group Hot Boys, tried to defend Weezy but he may have made matters worse in the process.
Turk tells VLAD TV:
“They caught them in a moment where the fans and the media and all of it, they made it all an issue that it wasn’t. We was all like Baby’s kids at one time.
“They kiss each other all the time. Ain’t nobody gonna go to them and say they ain’t no b*tch or no hoe or none of that. We all used to do that sh*t. That was a in-house thing.”

This makes me laugh because I think The Boondocks told the truth with the whole Gangstalicious story. Rappers are wearing skirts and dresses now and kissing each other. That show was ahead of its time.

Preach. Don’t forget they will also question a man’s sexuality if he’s not promiscuous and sleeping around. To many masculinity/heterosexuality amongst men is associated to acting like a thug and sleeping with multiple women, anything else they feel is suspect. Not all of us, but many have this mentality.

My problem with Lil Wayne isn’t him kissing Baby but the ignorance he has for his own people. From the Emmett Till situation to his disrespect of dark skinned women. He just keeps getting second chances he doesn’t deserve.
Won’t call them gay but kissing another grown person on the lips you’re not dating is unnecessary and suspect. But whatever. I don’t really care because I haven’t been checking for Weezy in years.
