Lil Wayne has already expressed that he’s furious his upcoming studio album was pushed back yet again, and the delays have caused a rift in his relationship with Birdman.

The rapper has told fans he plans on leaving Cash Money, but Birdman reportedly told TMZ that he would sue Weezy if he left.

Interestingly enough, now sources claim Lil Wayne is thinking about slapping Birdman with a lawsuit too.

TMZ writes:

Lil Wayne is ready to take his feud with Birdman to the next level … threatening to drag him and Cash Money into court if they don’t drop his album NOW.

Sources very close to the feud tell TMZ … Wayne has issued a simple ultimatum, in writing, no less — release “Tha Carter V” pronto … or he will sue to leave Cash Money altogether.

  1. I don’t think you can sue a label for pushing your album back. If that was the case, a lot of artists would have done that already.

  2. Well he needs to be prepared to fight to the death because Cash Money ain’t letting him go without a fight. This is going to be a long process and if he does leave I bet he leaves with only half his royalties. Birdman and Slim going to pull out old contracts from the 90’s when they first signed him.
