August stopped by to dish the details with the Durtty Boyz in Atlanta, and he had plenty to say about his family problems.
On the family issues, he says things got worse when his career started to take off:
“I remember times when I used to weep til I get weak. And just be throwing up, my energy messed up…off of…because my family problems…all from my reality…dealing with my new reality.”
August also defended posting the scandalous text message from a family member to Instagram:
“I heard somebody say because I shared on the internet a text message that one of my family members sent me…And it was just a real hateful message and shared it one, to show this is evidence to show you that when I’m talking to you, I ain’t just telling you…this is the life of a person who comes from absolutely nothing to having a little bit of something. And now you get to see that. So I’m just sharing my business with you so that you…when it happens to you, you can know ah man, I can save a person from suicide because when your family speaks to you like that, people want to kill they self.
“At that point, you’re not my family for you to say I got my brother killed to get in my position.”
The singer also denied sharing the text message to get attention:
“Rappers do that sh*t all the time. They talking bout whatever they talking about in they songs, but whenever they post on Instagram they posting jewelry, money…girls and weed. Me? I’m posting my reality. This is what it is. I don’t need…don’t flatter yourself homie. If you think I’m living my life for you, you’s a fool like literally man. Real life.”

I get what he’s saying but sometimes the best thing to do to negative people is not give them any energy. He should have ignored those texts and he shouldn’t have posted them to ig. Be unbothered. That bothers people the most. They can’t take it.
He has been through a lot.
Oh boy bye. He posted that mess for attention because he did it while he was promoting a new song. August you ain’t fooling no damn body. You still fine though.
He said he doesn’t care what people think but he sounded real mad when he was talking about people feeling like he was attention whoring.
He can post whatever he wants on IG but he has to understand why people were cynical. Celebs are doing whatever they can these days to get attention and he seemed kind of thirsty with that move.
