Amber Riley Has Some Words for Her Body Critics

According to E! News, Amber Riley decided to check her body shamers  after a dentist appointment, and she wants them to understand that she is comfortable with her body.

E! News writes:

Hours after undergoing surgery at the dentist office, the former Glee star decided to share a powerful message on body image to her fans through Instagram.

“You know, there are just some things that my sober mind keeps me from sharing. That ends tonight,” she explained in an emotional video. ” I’ve got some things I need to get off my chest.”

“Why does me being fat offend so many people? Is it because I’m confident and I’m fly and I’m sexy?” the actress continued. “Do my thighs offend? Does my stomach offend? Does my big juicy a*s offend? Why?! Why?!”

Before you answer any of these questions, Amber shared with her followers that she feels confident with her figure today. And no matter what names you use to describe her, the actress and singer is in love with her body.

“Let my big a*s live.  I let you all live.  I love all colors, shapes and sizes,” she shared. “So, just so you know, when you come on here and you call me fat, it’s not an insult dummy.”

Amber added, “My a*s is fat and the fellas love it and so do I.”

I got some things I need to get off my chest, and my thighs, and my stomach ?

  1. I still don’t understand why people are so bothered by big people either. You would think they are out here killing puppies and babies the way people hate them so much. She’s beautiful big or not. And talented. Get off her t-ts.

  2. At the end of the day she can lose the fat but those trolls will still have an ugly constitution.

  3. I really can’t imagine being “famous.” As confident as she sounds and says she is, I don’t really fault her or anyone else for being bothered by excessive ridicule. I’d imagine that there are some days where negative comments are hurtful no matter how busy or strong you try to be. But kudos to her for speaking and standing in her truth.
